PPP Blog Hop Joy to the World

Heya friends! It's time for a Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop! The October kit was so much fun that there are plenty of Alternatives to be made from it!

If you have the kit, you may have noticed that the cards aren't a typical A2 Card Base.  It's slightly wider and a little shorter.  But, either way, it's PERFECT for a fabulous treat holder!

As you look at the template below, Imagine that the LEFT SIDE boxes are the patterned side.

First things first, turn your card base to that direction.  THEN, score on the long side (as shown) at 2 5/8".  This is the front and front sides of your box.  You'll use the score line already made for the card, as the second score mark.
Turn the card so the short side is up on your scoreboard.  Then score at 1 1/2" & 4 3/8".  This will create a 1 1/2" section on each side.
Next, cut and miter the square sections in the middle on each side. (top and bottom center in the photo).
Now, assemble as you would a box with your choice of Liquid Glue or Tear & Tape.  Then, miter from the front corner to the upper back corner to create the tapered sides you see in the finished box.

I used the decorative starburst gusseted bags from our Annual Catalog to fill with Hershey nuggets.  I think there were approx 10 nuggets in the package.  This is a pretty descent sized treat holder! I love it!

I hope you enjoyed my project!  Be sure to click the NEXT Button to be taken over to Terri's Blog to see what fun projects await you there.  Hop all the way back around to me (or wherever you started) to be sure you've seen all the wonderful alternative projects!
