Saturday BONUS POST! Mini Curvy Keepsake Box

Good morning friends! It seems strange posting on a Saturday, but I still have more Mini Curvy Keepsake Boxes to share with you!  Joy of joys! hehe.

Today's box has a special place in my heart because the bundle I used to create it is one of my absolute FAVORITES EVER!!  I'm not lyin'.  The first moment I saw this bundle at OnStage, I KNEW I had to have it and that it would be one of my favorites. And, it has never let me down yet!

Introducing......... The Come Sail Away Mini Curvy Keepsake Box!!

ACCCCCKKKK!!! Do you love it?!  I do! I do!!

I used Sahara Sand for the box cardstock.  Then, I stamped the candy stripes and the Anchor sentiment in Night of Navy ink.  I tied a little bow in the denim ribbon and used a Glue Dot to attach it to the top flap.  I die cut the helm from Crumb Cake Cardstock and inked it up a bit with Soft Suede Ink to give it more texture.  I attached the Helm and the Anchor Charm with the linen thread.

This box, like most of the others this week, was really quite easy to make.  But, I just love how this one came out!!

I have a Mini Curvy Keepsake Class coming up on the 24th of this month.  If you're in the area, you should definitely sign up!  We're going to have a great time!

Well friends, I hope you have enjoyed this week of Mini Curvy Keepsake boxes!  I've had a terrific time sharing them all with you!

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting!

Feature Friday - Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack

Happy Friday everyone!!  Hooray for the weekend!!  I'm super excited for this weekend because my Stampin' Bingo is tomorrow night!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY!!  I absolutely LOVE these events and my customers seem to enjoy them too.

I'm also excited to share today's Feature Friday product with you!  This product coordinates with yesterday's project and to be honest, I think it's one of the best Memories & More packs that I've seen in a while.  It's pretty fantastic!

The wonderful thing about these card packs, is that you can make TONS of "instant" cards without much more than a card base to glue the piece onto.  You can use them to create 3D projects, photo books, scrapbook pages, and much MUCH more!!

Here are a couple of samples that Stampin' Up! shares with us:

As you can see, these samples are simple but oh so pretty!  The Memories & More card packs are budget friendly too!

At only $11, you really do get more bang for your buck!

Take a look at this quick video, showcasing the card pack:

Thoughtful Thursday - Finding your mojo

Good morning friends! Today's Thoughtful Thursday is all about your mojo.  You know, that thing that gets you up and runnin'.  That thing that gets your creative juices flowin'.

Sometimes, I wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to tackle everything life throws at me.  Me and my mojo are one with the universe and we are ROCKIN' IT!!  Other times, I look EVERYWHERE trying to find that pesky lil buggar that seems to be completely evasive. Those days can be super hard.

What do you do when your mojo is on vacation, and you need its help? Creatively, one of the things I like to do is CASE a project I see online.  That's one of the reasons I LOVE CASE-IT Wednesday.  It's a great mid-week boost to help my mojo stay on task.  Alot of times, your mojo takes a hike because of things going on around you. Stressors from home, work, family, life in general, all play a role in chasing your mojo away.  I think of mojo like an ol' laid back hippie. Right? he's all "chill, man! Don't be so heavy."  When things settle down in your mind and body, your mojo will start to come back.  So, the key to having our mojo when we need it, is to take a step back from the stressors and take a deep breath and relax.

This morning, I woke up feeling a bit tense and tired and had so much trouble getting in touch with my mojo.  I decided to CASE a few projects for upcoming blog posts to relax a bit and, wouldn't ya know, my ol' friend showed up! YAY!!

So, I made a thing for you.  I LOVE THIS!! It may be one of my favorite projects this month! I hope you like it too! :-D

I've got a Stampin' Bingo event coming up this weekend and I want a few fabulous projects to showcase our AMAZING products.  I think this will fit the bill nicely!  I am totally in love with it!  If only we had a room with the nautical theme, ANYWHERE in our home! lol.  This is definitely display worthy.

I got the 5x7" frame from Walmart. Behind the glass is a piece of the Come Sail Away DSP. It makes such a nice background. The decorative piece is Very Vanilla Cardstock matted onto Balmy Blue Cardstock, and has been highly distressed with Soft Suede Ink.  All of the images and die cut elements are from the Sailing Home Bundle and I've tied some of the Night of Navy and Sahara Sand Twine into the project.

Ya know, I would consider this piece a collage of sorts.  I always find my mojo lurking in a big pile of collage elements. I LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOOVE layering things. It's my happy place, and this fit the bill perfectly.

I hope you've been able to take something away from today's "chat", and that you enjoyed the bonus project as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends! I hope you have a wonderful (rest of your) day!

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting!

CASE-IT Wednesday Sailing Home

Hello there friends! How are you this fine Wednesday? It's time for CASE-IT Wednesday!!!! WOO HOO!!!

You know I love CASE-IT Wednesday!!

Today's project is SUPER quick and simple! You're going to love it!  It comes from the Come Sail Away suite on pg. 144-145 of the 2019 Annual Catalog.  By now, you probably know that I LOVE this suite too! hehe.

The card is actually a product of the Memories & More kits.  These things are awesome because you can make tons of cards and other projects, besides just scrapbook pages. Though,  you can do that too of course!

Check out the Come Sail Away Card Pack:

That's a whole lot of possibilities for just $11!!!  WOW!

Ok, for the card.  You'll want to start with a notecard base and use that blue light house piece you see in the photo (Left Middle). You'll also need some twine (or ribbon).  I used Navy because that's what was used in the original project, but navy is retired (OOOPS!).  You could easily substitute for the Navy/Sahara Sand one, which I SHOULD HAVE used. Sorry about that friends.  Ok, twine..... Oh and a scrap piece of paper and Soft Suede Ink.

Ok, now we're settled.  As I said, this one is SUPER EASY because the entire background is already done for you with that one Memories & More card base. Nice huh?

Stamp your sentiment on the scrap paper.  I used "Thanks" (from the Sailing Home bundle) because I have more need for that than "Congrats", generally. Then I cut it out using the little banner that's also in the bundle.

I tied the twine around the printed card layer, and put a couple dimensionals behind the banner.

And then used a glue dot to attach the helm trinket to the card. Glue dots are the perfect choice here because they're super sticky and able to hold heavy weight items, but they're also low profile and lightweight so they won't add a whole lot of bulk to your projects.

And there we have it, friends! Our CASE-IT project was super quick and easy.  AND, you could make TONS of cards from one set of Memories & More! Hmmmm...... A post for another day? Maybe!

You may enjoy this quick little video that Stampin' Up made, using this Memories & More kit.  It showcases each of the pieces in the kit and gives you a few more examples of projects made with the kit too!

Thanks so much for stopping by my friends! I hope this inspired you to get crafty and create fun things!

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting!
