Paper Pumpkin Embellishments Tray

Good morning friends! I hope you're doing well today!  

Tuesday evening I did a livestream unboxing and alternative project share in the Paper Pumpkin Groupies Facebook Group.  I had created a sorting tray for all the incredible embellishments for this month's kit,  based on one of the group members' own sorting tray idea.  

A couple of people have asked for the measurements I used for my own tray, so I thought I'd post it here for anyone to see.

Ok, here is the template for the trays.  You'll cut each of the boxes as shown and then score each one at 1/2" on all four sides. Then you'll miter the four corners slightly, and assemble like a standard box.

So, You'll cut: 
(3) - 1 1/2" x 2" 

(1) - 1" x 2" 

(2) - 2" x 2 1/2" 

(1) - 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" 

(4) - 1" x 3" 

(1) - 1 1/2" x 3" 

(3) - 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" 

(1) - 1" x 1 1/2" 

Once you cut, score and assemble your trays, glue the trays in each row together.  Then, glue the rows together using liquid glue.  After you've glued all the trays together according to the diagram, you can attach ribbon handles (like I've done) or just glue the trays to the chipboard piece that came in your Paper Pumpkin kit.  My handles were approximately 6" long, but please make these the length you desire.  I glued them to the underside of the trays and THEN attached the whole thing to the chipboard.  This sandwiched the ribbon between the layers thus reinforcing them to stay put!  

****NOTE: When you attach your trays to the chipboard piece, line the back edge of the trays with the back edge of the chipboard. This should leave a small strip of chipboard showing in the front.  Doing this will ensure that you can close the box fully with the tray inside.  :-) 

I hope you enjoyed today's organizational project!  The September kit really had a TON of bits and pieces!  Having them sorted in this tray really helped in creating the projects and alternatives.

My New Improved Candy Jar Labels!

If you've been following me on YOUTUBE, Facebook, or Instagram lately, you've likely seen all about #Craftroomagedden2020 and what a DISASTER my room was when we started this project.

I'm thrilled to say that the foundation of The Stampin' Chic's Stampin' Studio is finally established and it's time to focus on all those little finite organizational details.

One of the areas i've been able to tidy up quickly (and thus, my favorite!) is some of the candy stash I have on hand. I use candies in a lot of my 3D projects and treat packages, so I like having a variety on hand.  But, if I don't have ONE specific place for it to be, the stash can get out of hand FAST!

What can I say? I love chocolate!!

I found these absolutely ADORABLE treat jars at the Dollar Tree (which makes them just the right price)! One jar will fit a standard size bag of Lindt Truffles, so that works out PERFECTLY!

I used a black dry erase marker to write the flavors on the lids, but realized right away that I didn't like that. BLEH!

Boring and terrible!

I created a simple word doc for the circles, and used a fun font I found on the internet (Janda Stylish Script).

 Then I stamped a little "texture" using the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set, in Granny Apple Green, to make them not so stark.

The word doc lines up with the 2 3/8" Layering Circle Die perfectly.  (You're welcome! hehe)

I used Melon Mambo for the Layered Scalloped Circle to keep the colors of my room coordinated with this project. 

I LOVE these colors together! :-D

And, I really like how they all look together on the shelf! SUPER CUTE!
