Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop Happy New Year's Eve!

Good morning friends! I hope you're doing well.  Today we're hopping along the Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop with another sneak peek at the upcoming Spring mini catalog! YAY!

I needed a beautiful Thinking of You card and came up with this one.

The New Fine Art Floral Suite of products is absolutely STUNNING and makes easy work of creating a gorgeous project.  The Designer Series Paper is beautiful enough to carry an entire project design, all by itself.  I love it when the papers can do that! This one is especially fabulous because it coordinates with the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate sheets.  You can see the floral DSP on the card, and then you can also see all the gold accents.  That's the acetate sheet overlay!  SOOOOOO PRETTY!

Take a look at the two step stamping on that floral cluster! I love how beautifully it matches the DSP background! Our Blushing Bride 3/8" Metallic Ribbon lends a soft and beautiful touch. Pair it up with the heart charm and you have the sweetest card!

I'm really happy with how my card turned out. I think my friend will love it.  I hope you do too!

Head over to Ms Vickie's Blog to see what beautiful project she has to share with you! Follow the hop all the way back around to me (or wherever you started) to be sure to see all of the amazing sneaky peeky projects!

PPP Blog Hop Beary Comforting

Good evening friends! Thanks tons for stopping by! It's time for a Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop!  Y'all know I just LOVE Paper Pumpkin Alternatives, and this hop is FULL of em for you.

Pshew! This month has been an absolute MAD HOUSE with regard to shipping.  Between Covid and Christmas, I just got my kit yesterday! Wowza!  That's ok though because it was totally worth the wait! This kit is sooooo adorable!!

I mean, look at the super cute critters on those cards! And, the sentiments are perfect for going into the new year too!

The kit contains all the supplies to create 12 BEARY sweet cards for Celebrations, Thinking of You, and Get Well soon.  I'm loving the little cutie characters and those colors! Well done Stampin' Up!

The alternative project I'm gonna share with you this evening is going with the celebration theme. It's a pop up gift card holder, and the little Koala couple just make it super cute!

I created the base of my project from altering one of the Rich Razzleberry card bases.  I cut it down to 4 1/2" x 8 1/2".  Then, following the score guide in the photo below: Score on the LONG SIDE at 2 1/4",    3 1/4", 4 1/4" and 7".

You end up with something that looks like this.

To create the slot for the gift card to sit, I used the Classic Label Punch. I folded the card base as shown in the following photo, lined the punch up with the right edge of the card base and halfway into the label shape and punched.  I repeated the process to the left edge of the card base (as you can see here).

Next, I added Tear & Tape adhesive all the way around the punched slot.  Peel the backing off and fold on the score lines. This is what makes the "pop up" mechanism for the card.

Round the corners of the shorter flap and embellish as desired!  This is a really simple and fabulous gift card holder that can be modified to fit any theme and occasion. :-D

I hope you enjoyed my gift card holder.  I love creating fun alternatives from the Paper Pumpkin kit, and especially love creating gift & treat holders! So this was right up my alley!

Stampers Showcase Blog Hop - Sale-a-Bration Preview!

Good morning friends! How was your weekend? I hope it was good!  Christmas on Friday began our weekend of "remote" downtime.  Tinker Tom was FINALLY off call, little miss was off work Friday and Saturday, and I was able to take a couple of days off too!  It was nice to have some much needed family time.  Of course, we spent it opening a few presents and watching Christmas movies! hehe. It was terrific!

Now the weekend is over and it's time to get back to work! But, it's time for the December Stampers Showcase Blog Hop!  YAY!!  So is it really "WORK"?  Neh! You know I LOVE the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop!

This month's theme is a SNEAK PEEK into our upcoming Spring Mini Catalog and SALE-A-Bration!!!  WOOOT WOOOOT!!! You know this is the most exciting time of the Stampin' Up year!

This is where you get all sorts of amazing new EXCLUSIVE products for FREE when you order!
And OH BOY! I do LOVE free!!  Don't you?

My project shows you a sweet new Stamp & Punch bundle that you can purchase from the Spring Mini Catalog, as well as some Designer Series Paper that is FREE with a purchase in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  They go hand in hand so well that you'll definitely want to get them both!

The Sweet Strawberry Stamp & Punch Bundle features the sweetest sentiments and strawberry images you've ever seen.  Just look at the fabulous sayings in the stamps!  This is a terrific all occasion stamp set.  The Strawberry Builder punch works hand in hand with the stamps AND it punches out some of the images in the FREE Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper!  I love it when Stampin' Up does that!

Not only does the Sweet Strawberry bundle coordinate with the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper, but when you earn the paper you'll also receive the Berry Blessings Stamp Set too! They come together as a bundle FREE with a qualifying purchase!

I used the Strawberry Builder Punch on the Berry Delightful DSP to punch out the flowers on my card.  I fussy cut the Strawberry from the DSP so that I could have the stem as well. It was super easy to cut.  I used the Stitched Shapes and Layering Circles Dies to create the focal image layer.

Finish off the sweet card with Real Red Stitched Satin Ribbon and some Basic Rhinestone Jewels!

Merry Christmas (Happy Holidays) to one and all!

Merry Christmas everyone!!  I hope you're all snuggled in and doing well!  We are planning a very cozy laid back and relaxing day with just the three of us this year.  Our older girls are "back home" prepping to spend Christmas with their grandmother, while the rest of the family are scattered all over the South/Midwest. Hopefully we can do a little facetime at least, to tell everyone Merry Christmas!

This is a very special time of year. A time of joy and peace.  A time of slowing down and enjoying the company of our loved ones. And also, a time for remembering those who are no longer with us, but whom we miss oh so much.  We lost my nana early on this year and I'd be lying if I said it hasn't been absolutely devastating.  Of course, all of those feelings come back full force during the holidays.  And, while it is so sad and lonely to miss those who are no longer with us, it can serve as a reminder not to squander the time we have with those who are still with us.  It seems that more and more families are allowing squabbles and hurt feelings in between them. It's sad when we can't get past those things, forgive and ask to be forgiven.  In the end, which is more important; To  be right, or to be loved?

If 2020 has taught us anything, it should be that life is so fragile and so precious. We ought not waste one single minute to tell those we love, just how much they mean to us.  So, with that in mind, I want to say to you that I have loved every minute of our time together.  I appreciate each and every one of you more than you could ever know.  You have become my friends, my family, and have encouraged me and helped me through sad days (even when you didn't know you were doing anything) and celebrated with me through the happy ones!  I love you all and am so very blessed and thankful for you all!

My wish is for each of you to have the very happiest of Holidays, and the brightest of New Years!

Great Big HUGS and LOTS of LOVE headed your way!!!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting!

A box for all those tags!

Merry Christmas Eve friends! How are you today?  I have a small gift for you today!  I want to thank you for following my 12 Days of Christmas Tags series, by gifting you a tutorial for a sweet little gift box to hold them all in!

Of course, the box can be used for anything else you'd like as well. But it fits all 12 of those Christmas Tags perfectly!

I have deliberately kept the decoration very simple because there's a LOT going on inside the box! lol.  The tags are great! But since they're all so different, it looks really busy inside. So a simple look is needed. :-D

I used a Window Sheet to create my clear box.  The sheets are 12x12", so I cut it down to 8 1/2" x 11" to begin.

Use the template here for scoring and cutting.

You'll see on the template, that I have also added the measurements for the belly band as well as the DSP layers.  I used Real Red Cardstock for the Belly Band and the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper for the DSP panels.

Then, the only thing I really did after that was die cut the word JOY from the Peace & Joy Bundle and tie some sheer Real Red Ribbon at an angle around the belly band.

I just used liquid glue and a few mini dimensionals to layer JOY together and attach it to the belly band.  However, you could easily use adhesive sheet and adhesive foam sheets to make it pop more.  I'll include those in the supply list below.  They would have been less messy. lol.

The finishing touch was to add 5 little green Rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone Jewels.  It made a huge difference and helped me keep it "SIMPLE" while still having some beautiful umph to it.  I love those Rhinestones!

Well, there you have it friends! I hope you enjoyed this little bonus project!  A small gift from me to you. :-)
