Good evening friends! Today we're joining the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop! This month's theme shows you how to "step up your game" from a basic Simple Stamping perspective, to an avid crafting masterpiece!
I chose to use the Make a Splash host stamp set from pg. 73 of the 2020 Spring Mini Catalog. I used this one because I think it kindof gets lost in the back of the catalog, and it's really cute! Plus, it's only $10 when you host a party/class/workshop! YAY!
The "Simple Stamping" version is just Stamps, Ink and Paper.
All the color you see here is made exclusively from stamping in colored ink. I love sets where you can make an entire scene out of them. The little goldfish are so cute!
With the stepped up card, I layered the 4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White piece onto a standard (4 1/4" x 11") Pool Party Card base scored at 5 1/2". Then, I stamped the fishbowl and all the contents on a separate piece of White Cardstock and then fussy cut it out. I attached it to the card using dimensionals to help it "pop". I also stamped the same sentiment on a scrap and cut it out and attached it to a Pumpkin Pie orange piece that I punched out using the classic label punch.
Notice how much of a difference that makes! WOW!
For the Amped up version, I brought in the Brick & Mortar 3d Embossing folder and Grey Granite Cardstock.
I used the snowglobe die from the snow globe scenes die, and cut a hole for my fishbowl near the bottom center of the layer. One of my leftover plastic snowglobes was inserted into the hole and attached to that layer.
I stamped the fish bowl onto a 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" piece of white cardstock near the bottom middle (so as to align with the snowglobe hole in the Grey Granite) and also on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the decor on both just like I did in the middle card. The 3 7/8" piece was layered behind the Grey Granite so that the fishbowl contents would show through. The scrap piece was fussy cut out and then the snowglobe die used, to cut the center out. I layered that little "ring" around the outside of the 3D fishbowl on the front of the Grey Granite Card.
I thought the Daffodil Delight ribbon brought in a little more "color" to the darker grey card front. So I tied it on before I attached the whole front to the card base.
Then, I did the sentiment just like I did in the middle card.
As you can see from these projects, you can go as simple or as complex as you like. All look fabulous! So it's entirely up to you, how much detail you add. :-D

I hope you liked my cards! I really enjoyed designing them for you! It's so neat to see a side by side view of a simple to complex variation of the same project. Rarely do I have the opportunity to see that. :-) It was so much fun!
