Let's Get Together Soon

Hi there friends! TGIF!!! I'm so glad you've stopped by! I have a fantastic card to share with you today. 

I decided to use the Cup Of Tea Bundle with my hostess club for this month, and because I've been on a huge LEMON kick, the coordinating DSP fit my theme perfectly!

I started with a standard 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (scored at 4 1/4") Crushed Curry Card Base.  

Then, Stamped "Let's Get Together Soon" in Memento Ink on the upper left hand section of a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White Cardstock.  To that layer, I attached the 4" x 2" piece of lemony DSP and the 4" x 5/8" Garden Green strip.  This makes such a bright and cheerful card front already! 

The teacup is a Poppy Parade Cardstock background piece and a Sweet Sorbet Cardstock foreground piece.  I used Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry Cardstocks for the lemon wedge, and Basic White cardstock for the stamped Greenery (Garden Green Ink) and the tea tag (Memento Ink, Daffodil Delight Ink). 

I attached the tag to the cup with a little piece (maybe 2") of Linen Thread to make it look like a real tea bag. So cute! For the inside and the envelope, I stamped a few little lemon wedges to tie them in to the card front.  Absolutely adorable!

Technique Tuesday - Create Your Own Designer Series Paper!

Hello my friends!  Today's Technique Tuesday is a FABULOUS one that I tend to fall back on quite often.  Whenever I'm making a project and the stamp set I'm using doesn't have it's own Designer Series Paper, or the paper it does have isn't quite what I want, I make my own!  It's super simple and you are going to LOVE IT!

You can start with any solid color of cardstock.  Often, I gravitate towards white, but you can use whatever you need. 

You'll want to select an image or a couple of images that work well together, and just stamp randomly around the paper.

I've created a video to show how easy it is!

There is no real right or wrong way to create your own DSP, so have fun and let your creativity FLY!!!

This was last week's Make it Monday project.  As you can see, I created my own background because I wanted a different color palette for the "Everything is Rosy" project.

And then, In this video you'll see where I made my own patterned background for a treat box I made.  You're only limited by your imagination on what backgrounds you can create!

Well friends, there you have it.  Easy peezy and super fabulous CUSTOM designer series paper that you can create to match any project you need it for!

2019 Occasions Product Share!

Hello, Hello, Hello my friends!!! How are you this fine day?
