What's Your Favorite Season?

Hello there friends! How are you today?

What is your favorite season, and why?

I can tell you beyond all doubt that my absolute FAVORITE season is autumn/fall.  I love the cooler crisp air, bonfires, corn mazes, hoodies, hot apple cider, pumpkin EVERYTHING, and the most gorgeous color palete ever created.

When I was a little girl, I saw a photo of the Tennessee Smoky Mountains in a National Geographic magazine.  I immediately fell in love!  I carried that photo in my mind all my years growing up. It looked something like this one here (taken in the Great Smoky Mountains, East Tennessee, Mid October).

I brought my husband out here for vacation one year, and he fell in love with it too! So we sold our house, packed up and moved to the most beautiful place God ever laid a hand on.  We absolutely LOVE it here. And fall is the most magical time of the year.

So, with that idea in mind, I chose to use the Forever Fern collection to create a beautiful encouragement card.  It reminds me of those beautiful fall days when all is peaceful and happy.

I paired the Forever Fern Stamp & Die bundle with the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper.  They go together like chocolate and marshmallows!

Cajun Craze and Mint Macaron are perfect autumn colors, along with Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.  The Basket weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo pack finish the card off nicely.

I'd love to hear what your favorite season is, and why.  Comment below and let me know. :-)

I hope you enjoyed today's card!

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting!

Hello Forever Fern

Heya friends! I hope you're well today.

Today, I'm featuring the Forever Fern bundle along with the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper.

Forever Fern honestly is one of my all time favorite Stamp & Die Bundles. I love how incredibly different it looks, simply by changing some colors around, and it can be used for ANY occasion!  It's definitely a MUST HAVE for your collection!

Fall isn't exactly here, YET, but I'm wishing and hoping for it to hurry!  I'm ready for crisp air, bonfires, and hot cider!

I used Cajun Craze for the card base, as well as the ink for the "hello"and one of the sprigs.  It pairs beautifully with Mint Macaron.

The "bling" is actually our Clear Rhinestone Jewels that I've colored using the Dark Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends marker. It's fantastic that we can create different colored gems by doing this technique!  We're all about matchy matchy!

Do you have the Forever Fern Bundle?  Do you love it?  Do you have a terrific project that you've created with it?  I'd love to see! Post a picture on today's Facebook post, featuring this bundle.

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting!

A CASE of the CASE-IT: Forever Fern

Good morning friends! How are you today?  Yesterday's CASE-IT was a fantastic card layout that I mentioned you could use like a Card Sketch to create other projects.

Today, I'm sharing a CASE of the CASE-IT Card! hehe

Notice that the layout is pretty much the same as yesterday's CASE-IT card.  The only real difference is that I used the Layering Circles to stamp the sentiment and mat it with a scalloped layer behind it. I also used the Gold Thread from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack, instead of ribbon.  Otherwise, the layout is just the same.  But isn't it neat that even with all their similarities, the two cards still look a lot different too.

Ok, just like yesterday, the card is super simple to assemble.

You'll need:

8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Pretty Peacock Card Base (Scored at 4 1/4")
5 1/4" x 4" Pretty Peacock layer (Distressed on all four edges)
3 pieces of the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper measuring 1 1/2" x 3 3/4" each
5 1/4" x 4" Whisper White for the inside panel
and a scrap of Whisper White and Pretty Peacock for the sentiment piece

As well as a length of the Gold Trim.  I wrapped it around the Peacock layer twice because it's kindof a finer thread.

I used Pretty Peacock Ink for the sentiments on the inside and the outside of the card, and stamped the sprig in Pear Pizzazz Ink.

This is a fantastic "GO TO" card layout for a quick and simple in a hurry type of card.  Without looking like you were in a hurry! :-D

I hope you enjoyed the look at two different cards using the same design/layout.  Try it out and make some super fabulous cards to have on hand for just in case! You'll be glad you did!

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting!
