CASE IT - Christmas Gleaming Card

Hello, hello my friends! I'm afraid I've caught the crud bug. :-( I woke up feeling like roadkill. BLEH! I hate being sick. I don't have time to be sick! lol.  Who does though, right?

Well, I did manage to get a CASE it project done for you today, at least. :-) I've been looking at this one for a while and hadn't got around to it.  It comes from page 4 of the 2019 Holiday Catalog.

I just love the color combination! It doesn't exactly SCREAM Christmas, but I love the tones!

Start out with a Pool Party Card base (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Then, using the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and Bermuda Bay ink, stamp the little splatter marks across the bottom 2" or so of the card.

Attach a 3 1/2" strip of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon across the top of the splatter.

I made two of the same card to add to my outgoing Christmas Card stash, so if you're making one card, you only need to stamp one each of the images in this photo:

Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Calypso Coral are so interesting together, don't you think?

The punches in the Christmas Gleaming bundle make easy work of the card too!  But, I fussy cut the holly.  No worries! It's an easy one!

I used Real Red and Mossy Meadow Markers to color directly onto the stamp. I like to more bold outline colors.

Coloring the Stamped image with Light Granny Apple Green and Light Real Red really made the image pop!

Fussy cutting was super easy and quick too!

The sentiment strip is cut at 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" in Whisper White.  I used a Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Marker to color the words "be this season".  I stamped that directly onto the sentiment strip.  "JOLLY" was colored with the Calypso Coral Marker and then stamped onto a scrap piece of cardstock. I fussy cut that too, and then attached it in place with dimensionals.  That technique is a LOT of fun and really adds some drama to your statements on a project!

There are a lot of fun layers with this card and of course, you know I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors!

I hope you'll CASE this one yourself! It's a lot of fun!

Until Next Time my friends,
Stay happy and healthy and as always

December 2019 KBH Theme: Christmas

Hey hey hey friends! It's time for the Kre8tors Blog hop again! This month's theme is Christmas so I am going to share one of the Christmas cards I'm sending out this year. :-)

I am in LOVE with the Stitched Stars dies, so I wanted to feature them on this card.  I love the way the new Mercury Glass Specialty Paper looks cut with the dies too!

I started out with a Whisper White card base (8 1/2" x 5 1/2") and added another layer of Whisper White (5 1/4" x 4") that I ran through the scripty 3D embossing folder. I layered a star cut from Mercury glass paper behind the Whisper White one that I stamped using the coordinating "SO MANY STARS" stamp set.  The sentiment and smaller stars are also from that set.  I used the Stitched Shapes dies to cut the square around the sentiment.

So Many Stars is a fabulous set to have, and one you really need in your collection!  But, you'd better get it soon because the Holiday Catalog ends January 2nd. :-(

I really like the white on white look. It feels so crisp and clean! I hope you like it too! Click the NEXT button to continue on the hop.  Miss Melissa has a fabulous project waiting for you on her blog!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

Hello my friends! How are you today?  I hope this finds you having a fantastic Wednesday.  I have an absolutely ADORABLE little Holiday gift tag for you today.  It's cased from Page 12 of the 2019 Holiday Catalog and it's just as cute as it can be!

I absolutely LOVE the mini envelope that goes along with the tag.  The Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper is so incredibly versatile and the thin Gold lines in the plaid are gorgeous!

To make the envelope, you'll need a 6x6" piece of DSP. You'll score 1" from the left side and 1 3/4" from the right edge.  Then score 13/4" on each of the opposite two sides.

Then, you'll cut away the four corners as you see here.  I also mitered the top and bottom flap as you can see in the photo. It's ever so slight, but helps the envelope to look more "finished".

Next, I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock 2 1/4" x 7" and scored on the long side at 3 1/2". This is the Tag base.   The one in the catalog is done more like book style, with the fold to the left, but I like it to open this way. :-)

Now that the card base is ready, you'll need to cut another piece of Cherry Cobble Cardstock and use the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut that layer. It should measure slightly smaller than 2 1/4" x 3 1/2".

I used the Pine Tree Punch and some more of that fabulous patterned paper to cut a layering element for my card.  I also heat embossed one of the tree designs in white on a piece of Shade Spruce Cardstock. Then punched it out with the Tree Punch.

The Whisper White Sentiment piece was 3/8" x 1 1/4" and the Glimmer Gold pictured below it is 1 1/2" x 1/4".

There are 2 - 1/2" circles cut out of cherry cobbler for the fasteners on the envelope.  I used the brads with those to make them look fantastic!

I always preach "NO NAKED INSIDES OR ENVELOPES", and this is no exception! I used the shaded spruce and stamped off the inside layer just slightly. I really like the way it looks!

This little gift card was super cute to make! I suppose it's time for me to start working on all of my holiday tags! Thanksgiving is a week from tomorrow and then Christmas is just around the corner! ACK!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today my friends! I hope you enjoyed today's project!

Have a fantastic day!

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting!
