PPP Blog Hop Summer Nights

Hey there everyone!!!  How are ya today?  It's time for a Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop! YAYAYA!!! Y'all know I LOVE Paper Pumpkin!

The Paper Pumpkin Possibilities design team have created some fantastic alternative projects to share with you today, and I can't wait to show you mine!

While I was doing my livestream with the PAPER PUMPKIN GROUPIES the other day, I was playing around with a little piece I had started on and laid it up against a gift bag. That gave me a terrific idea for an alternative project. I promised to finish and share it, so I thought I'd share it here with you as well!

It begins with a sweet little yellow gift bag that I stamped the "starburst" all over in Blackberry Bliss ink. Then I layered one of the darker postcards for a background.

I had been wondering what else I could do with those little luminary bags, so I cut the front off of one and stamped in Daffodil Delight ink.

That Summer Night poem is so pretty. I had to include it too!  I hated to use up the rest of my extra luminary die cuts, but they finished the project off nicely!

Be sure to click the next button to visit Miss Debbi's blog and follow the hop all the way back around to me (or where ever you started) so you don't miss out on all the wonderful alternative projects!

If you'd like to see the Facebook LIVE replay, you can find it here:

I really hope you like my alternative gift bag! I have so much fun creating alternative projects from the Paper Pumpkin kits. They really do include a LOT of stuff to play with!

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting!

Stampers Showcase Blog Hop: Gift Packaging For You!

Good morning friends!!  It's my favorite time of the month! Time for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop!!  This month's theme is absolutely TERRIFIC!!

It's all about Gift Packaging!! Who couldn't use a nice gift wrap, bag or box?

Speaking of boxes, I can't wait to share mine with you!  Ya know, with all this Covid business, masks, riots and all the other sad sack news going on out there, my gift box may be one that's well received! (Not that I endorse drinking your troubles away or anything. lol)

The "NOTHING'S BETTER THAN" Stamp & Die bundle lent a hand perfectly, in helping create this sassy and fun gift box.  So maybe we're not gonna drown our sorrows in booze, but nobody said we couldn't have a cocktail or two. Right?

I love how the box turned out and Stampin' Up's new Rainbow Glimmer Paper did a terrific job at really making it fantastic!  The new Tasteful Textile embossing folder created the perfect textured backdrop for this sweet design.

I can't wait for you to see all the other Gift Packaging in the hop today, so why don't you go ahead and click the next button to visit Miss Susan's Blog.  Be sure to follow the hop back around to me (or wherever you started) so you don't miss out on any great ideas!

Thanks so much for stopping by and hanging out with me today! I hope you enjoy the hop!

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting

Christmas in July Blog Hop

Hello everyone!! I'm so excited about today's project!

As I mentioned in my last post, I'm not one to rush the Jolly Ol' Elf, however, I feel that Christmas in July is an exception. hehe.  My rationale is that Christmas is indeed the celebration of all celebrations and truly is bigger than just a few weeks.  BUT, we have all these other fantastic occasions to celebrate as well.  SO, it's completely justifiable to let a little Christmas drip into July.  To help us beat a little of the summer's heat, and get us excited for that most wonderful time of the year!

With that in mind, I have an absolutely ADORABLE little Christmas Treat Holder to share with you.  I've used the die set once already for a sweet little bridal treat holder, but now I've switched gears and turned it into Santa's treat!!

Is this not the cutest little Christmas treat ever? Add a Ghiradelli chocolate to it and give one to all the teachers, or office staff, or pretty much anyone!

The Little Treats Stamp and Die Bundle should definitely be towards the top of your holiday wish list! Just look at all the "ready made" opportunities included in the set!

Now's where I get to tell you about the supplies I used.
* Obviously the LITTLE TREATS Stamp & Die bundle
* A new Red Velvet paper (that I'm SUPER EXCITED for!)
* Whisper White Cardstock
* Versamark Ink Pad
* Clear Emboss Powder
* Real Red Ink Pad
* Memento Black Ink Pad
* Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon
* Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon
* (BRAND NEW) Real Red 3/16" Braided Linen Trim
* (BRAND NEW) Glitter Star Ornaments (WITH DANA APPROVED GLITTER!!!)
* Mini Stampin' Dimensionals

The terrific thing about this treat holder, is that you actually don't have to use adhesive at all. The flaps lock together well enough that by the time you tie a bow onto the top, it holds everything in place!

When creating this project, I knew I wanted to heat emboss EVERYTHING.  But alas, Stampin' Up only carries a few basic colors of embossing powder. Well, that's no trouble at all when you know the "technique" behind embossing in any color you like!

The photo strips here show a step by step progression of how to achieve this feat!

That's a pretty neat trick right?  Now you can emboss in "ANY COLOR" you choose! Just remember to stamp into the Versamark FIRST and THEN into your colored ink! ;-)

From there, I let the incredible dies do all the work. The stitching and scalloped edges on the label and tag make them dressed up and ready to go as is.  Add a couple mini dimensionals to Santa's hat to attach it to the label, pop the label up on the holder, use the glitter star ornament silver thread to tie it and the tag to the ribbons and you are all set! Tie it all up with a beautiful red bow and VIOLA!!! The perfect little Christmas treat!

They're big enough to brighten anyone's day, and yet small enough to tuck away to be found!

I hope you enjoyed my little Christmas Treat Holder! Be sure to "FOLLOW" my blog if you're not already, so that you don't miss out on my posts. Come back often to see what I'm up to! I post several times a week, so you won't want to miss out on anything! Be sure to follow the hop all the way back around, to see all the other incredible "CHRISTMAS IN JULY" projects from the other designers! You're sure to find tons of inspiration for the upcoming holidays!

Until Next Time,

Prized Peony Thinking Of You

Hello my friends! I have a sweet and thoughtful card to share with you today.  I really think you're gonna like it. :-)

I'm using the Prized Peony Stamp & Die bundle, featuring that gorgeous Peony cluster and the sentiment "My thoughts are with you".

Pair up the Peony cluster with Gold embossing and WOWWIE WOW WOW!!!  Knockout!

I wanted the background of the card to have a soft and lovely feel to it, so I embossed it with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.  So you get TWO types of embossing on the same card! yay!

The supply list for this card is down below, so gather everything up and watch along with my video to put the card together. :-)

Don't forget to stamp the inside of your card too!

Here's a video to show how I put it all together.

I hope you enjoyed today's project! Gather up some supplies and Heat Emboss something! It's so much fun!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting!
