Where my sports fans at?!

Hey there my crafty friends! How are you today? I have a terrific project to share with you. This one is a fun fold AND a Birthday card, AND is perfect for the fellas in your life too!

It features the BRAND NEW up and coming Hey Sports Fan Stamp & Die Bundle that's part of the "Your Biggest Fan" product suite. I absolutely LOVE this collection, not just because I'm any kind of sports fan, but you can do so much with it! You're going to see some really great things with these products in the near future. I'm sure of it!

My card base is a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Poppy Parade Cardstock, scored at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2".

Then, I added layers of Night of Navy Cardstock: (2) 2 5/8" x 4 1/8", 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".

I used a 2 1/2" x 4" piece of the Your Biggest Fan Designer Series Paper for the front layer.  A piece of BumbleBee Cardstock of the same size is the middle layer.  I stamped a bunch of stars on it to give it a little interest. The "inside" panel is a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock.  Yes, this DSP has more of an antique or Vanilla undertone, so the Vanilla works better with it.

For the front collage, I combined die cut DSP with stamped and die cut cardstock pieces:
Night of Navy Large Ticket stamped in Night of Navy ink
BumbleBee with White Stars pennant die cut dsp
Crumb Cake ticket stamped in Evening Evergreen ink
Evening Evergreen mini ticket stamped in Evening Evergreen ink
"Home Run" mini ticket die cut dsp

I stamped a few stars around the card and the inside says "Hope your day is a Grand Slam" (stamped in Night of Navy ink).

A few little BumbleBee stamped stars on the envelope would tie it together nicely and make this a fun card for anyone to receive!

I hope you enjoyed today's fancy fold card.  I had fun layering all the bits together!

A new crafty challenge for you!

In the way of a sketch!

I just love sketches! They're a perfect way to help get your creative juices flowing. It's like having a road map to a destination you want to go.  Treat it like a plug and play. Fill in the spaces with things you have on and and viola! A beautiful card emerges!

The Crafty Collaborations Crew has a fun card sketch for you today.  Each of us have taken this sketch as inspiration and created something fabulous to share with you. So, be sure to visit all of the designers' pages to see them all!

Let's have some fun shall we?

I'm using the Friendly Hello stamp set and DSP combo from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration brochure. It's beautiful, isn't it?

Sale-a-Bration is my favorite time of year! For every $50 or $100 you order,, you get to choose a FREE gift!!
I love getting FREE GIFTS!

One thing to remember about sketches is that they are a basic guide or outline for what you should do. For example, in the sketch it shows a darker layer over the bottom half of the card. I opted to use the same layer over the whole card front, and then stamped some flowers along the same area.

I layered a strip of the Designer Series Paper, that's thicker than the sketch, across the bottom portion. Then, I used the Layering Circles Dies to layer a Pale Papaya scalloped circle behind the Basic White stamped layer.
And finally, in place of the 3 dots, I stamped a sentiment in a rich bold black.

I love using sketches, especially when I'm feeling a crafter's block. It helps to get the creative juices flowing.

Be sure to hop around to all of the designers listed below, to see their interpretations of the sketch. It's always amazing how differently they all look. :-)

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop Lots of Pun

Good evening Paper Pumpkin Fans! How are you today? It's time for the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop! Yay!  We've got lots of apPEALing alternative projects to share with you this evening.

This month's kit (LOTS OF PUN) is all about the punny side of life. You know it's gonna be EGGcellent when we start talking about puns and fun!

KIT FEATURES
The Lots of Pun Paper Pumpkin Kit includes 9 patterned card bases—3 each of 3 designs—and coordinating patterned envelopes; 3 sheets of die-cut conversation bubbles and gingham circles; 3 sheets of die-cut vellum circles and rectangles; 2 sheets of die-cut eggs, toast, cherries, and bananas; 1 sheet of die-cut rectangles in Crumb Cake, Pool Party, and black and white; 1 sheet of die-cut striped rectangles in Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, and Poppy Parade; 1 sheet of die-cut scallops and sentiments; 1 sheet of enamel stickers; 1 spool of twine; 1 sheet of adhesive dots; and 1 sheet of dimensionals. Plus, the exclusive 26-piece Lots of Pun Photopolymer Stamp Set and an Early Espresso Stampin’ Spot!

Coordinating Stampin’ Up! Colors: Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Poppy Parade

But, I am eggcited to share my alternative project with you. :-) I love the little banana stamp and wanted to feature it on my card.  You can see that I've created a whole background using the banana stamp and some Daffodil Delight ink.

The card is a Pool Party Cardstock base (8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"). The Daffodil Delight layer is 5 3/8" x 4 1/8". And then the Basic White layer that's stamped with bananas is 5 1/4" x 4".  I love all the layers going on here. :-D

I brought in a few elements from the kit: The Hello sticker, the striped banner, and the little red scalloped strip.  Then, I needed to bring in the Layering Circles dies.  I cut the 4th largest scalloped circle out of Daffodil Delight Cardstock, and the coordinating circle die to cut the Basic White Cardstock.

I used the masking technique to layer the bananas to look like a small cluster of bananas. This is such a fun technique and really helps you get more out of your stamp sets!

I hope you liked my sweet Hello card alternative! Be sure to follow the hop around to see all the other fabulous alternative projects awaiting you! Click the "NEXT" button to head over to Miss Deb's Blog.
