CASE IT Wednesday! "PRETTY KITTY"

Hello Friends! How are ya?  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I've got a fantastic and fun new series I'm going to start doing.  Every Wednesday, we're going to have a CASE IT Wednesday.  That means I'm going to Copy And Share (E) a card or project that I see somewhere.  It may be something out of a Stampin' Up! catalog or something I see on Pinterest. Regardless of where I find the project, I will be sure to give credit where credit is due, so that you'll know who I CASE'd.

There are so many amazing designers out there and I am honored to be among them.  So, I want to share their work with you, while also getting to "just copy" someone else's amazing project! :-D

Today's card comes straight out of our Annual Catalog.  This Pretty Little Kitty is the cutest and I really enjoyed CASE-ing the design.

Page 30 in the Annual Catalog is where you'll find this adorable stamp set, along with Bella & Friends which is the Puppy version.  Both sets have super cute sentiments and incredibly adorable character stamps.

Supplies you'll need:
Card Base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Card Layer: 5 1/4" x 4"
Layering Circles scallop and straight edge
White Scraps big enough to fit the dies and the sentiment.
Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder
Stampin' Blends (I used Light Smoky Slate, Light Pool Party, Light Granny Apple Green, Light Poppy Parade, Light Highland Heather, and Light Mango Melody)
about 10" of Striped Poppy Parade ribbon
Stampin' Dimensionals

I ran the Layer through the big shot with the Polka Dot folder, and then attached it to the card base.

Next, I stamped the kitty image on a piece of white cardstock and cut it out using the layering circles dies. I also cut out a bigger scalloped circle for a mat layer.

While I was stamping and cutting, I stamped the sentiment on a little scrap strip of white and cut one end to a point.

I colored the image with Stampin' Blends and then attached it to the scalloped circle.  On the back of the scalloped circle, I put a couple strips of snail so that I could attach the ribbon.  I just snaked it back and forth across the back of the piece, and tacked it down.  Then, I used dimensionals to pop up the circles on the card. Super cute!

Last thing to do is add a little adhesive to the straight side of the sentiment strip and then attach it to the circle. Boom! Done!

As you can see from this photo, I CASEd the card pretty much exactly.  Credit for this card goes straight to Stampin' Up's design team.  They are amazing!!  And now, I have an adorable card to send to a friend! :-)

Stampin' Up! is so wonderful and generous in that they not only welcome but encourage their demonstrators and customers to CASE their ideas. This basically eliminates the "I can't do it" mindset.  So, go ahead and give it a try! Pick out a card or project that you like in the catalog and CASE IT!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope that you enjoyed this post and felt encouraged to try this project.  Just remember if you CASE something, that  you always give credit to the creator. ;-) Enjoy!

Until next time,
Happy Crafting!

Pretty Little Kitty Valentine

Hello my friends! I hope you're doing well.  It's nearly Valentine's Day and I have a couple of cards left to get done.  ACK!  Time goes by SO FAST when  you have deadlines. lol.  So I thought I'd do my project with you on this month's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop! Enjoy!!

Today's card project is a super sweet little kitty Valentine.  The girl I'm making it for absolutely LOVES kitties!  This will be perfect for her.  The "PRETTY KITTY" stamp set is absolutely adorable and pairs up very well with the sentiments in the "MEANT TO BE" and "FOREVER LOVELY" sets.

You'll need:

1 - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Whisper White Card Base (scored at 4 1/4")
3 - 2" x 2" Real Red squares
3 - 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" Whisper White Squares

I stamped all three kitties in Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored the bows and string in Real Red.  I also used the light Petal Pink Stampin' Blend marker to color inside the ears, the cheeks and the nose.  That little detail really made the kitties cute!

After I colored all three kitties, I matted them onto the Real Red squares and then laid them on the card. I made sure to leave enough room for me to stamp on the bottom corner. A few little red hearts stamped around the front finished it up nicely.  And then, to decorate the inside of the card.  This can be done without embellishment, but with just a bit of color!  It really does make a HUGE statement to a card!

See? Isn't it adorable?!!  I just love it!  Of course, there's still room to write something inside as well, and it makes a really nice inside.

Now that we've done all the hard work on the card itself, it would be a shame to put it in a plain ol' white envelope.  Don't you think?

There! That's better!  Something small and cute, but certainly an attention getter!  The recipient is not likely to just toss this in a pile on their desk, are they?

Well, there we have it my friends!  A super ADORABLE little kitty Valentine's Day card that anyone would be thrilled to receive!!  I hope you enjoyed your visit today!  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of today's card.  Also, I'd love for you to "FOLLOW" my blog so that you'll be notified when I post again.

Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my post!  Please continue along the Blog Hop and visit all of the other incredibly talented and amazing blogs.  Everyone has done a fabulous job of bringing you some really awesome projects!

Until next time,
Happy Crafting!

You make me Happy (Pretty Kitty)

Heya friends! Happy Friday!! Do you have fabulous plans for the weekend?  Depending on the weather, we have a few projects in line to do.  What's up with this crazy weather anyways?!  The whole first part of this week was like early summer (low-mid 70's) and now tonight we're back down to 37!!!  HOLY MACKEREL!!! I don't particularly care for the cold, but I REALLY don't care for this back and forth. It's like Mother nature just went "PSYCH!!!"  Yikes!  Well, it was nice while it lasted at least.  You can tell everyone is getting tired of winter already too.  The car washes were PACKED!!! hahahaha!! The ol' groundhog didn't see his shadow this year, so hopefully we'll have those warmer temps again very soon! I'm certainly ready for warmer weather!

Today's project has a warm and cozy feeling at least.  With the beautiful Petal Pink and the sweet little kitty, I can almost feel springtime coming back!   Even though I used the Big Shot and Layering Circles dies for this project, I would still consider it a pretty simple card.

I used a Petal Pink card base measured at 4 1/4" x 11", then added a Sahara Sand layer measured at 4" x 5 1/4". I originally cut a piece of the Floral Romance DSP at 3 3/4" x 5", but then tore the bottom third or so off.  It gives the card just a little bit of interest, I think.

I stamped the kitty in Basic Grey ink.  I knew I wanted to use Stampin' Blends to color her in, and Smoky Slate & Petal Pink did a great job.  Lovely Lipstick was perfect for her tongue and bow.

I love using the layering framelits sets!  They have so many different sizes and work well on a wide variety of projects. I can really get my money's worth out of them.  They're easily my favorite framelits in our collection!

As I was putting the card together, I came across a bit of retired ruffled ribbon.  I liked how well it went together, so I used it even though......

The last thing to do is add the sentiment.  I actually did this in Tuxedo Black Memento ink instead of the Basic Grey.  It was a bit more bold against the Sahara Sand background.

I used dimensionals to attach the scalloped circle and kitty to the card.  I do like texture and dimension afterall. :-)

I hope you liked today's project!  Please leave a comment below and let me know what you think.  Do you like the Pretty Kitty set?  It's so cute and has some really adorable sentiments with it too!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I truly hope you enjoyed your visit!

Have a fantastic day my friends!

Until next time,
