PPP Blog Hop No Matter the Weather

Hello friends!!! It's time for a Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. YAY!  You know I LOVE Paper Pumpkin! And, I love this hop too because there are always fantastic ideas awaiting on each blog you visit. :-D

This month's kit was extra special because it's Paper Pumpkin's 7th Birthday! YAY!!! Each Paper Pumpkin kit received an additional stamp set FOR FREE as a Thank You to all the fabulous subscribers who make Paper Pumpkin so wonderful! So, THANK YOU for being a subscriber!!

The kit (as instructed) makes 12 seriously ADORABLE notecards with matching envelopes. 4 each of 3 designs:

The cards were super cute, and the embellishments were TOTALLY adorable!

Considering that East TN was having several days of dark and gloomy wet and rainy weather, I was happy to receive the bright and cheerful box in the mail!  Look at all the fabulous colors that coordinate with this month's kit!

My contribution to this month's hop is a fun matchbox style gift box.  Now, this gift box is big enough to hold many things, but I've discovered that it's PERFECTLY sized to hold a full TWELVE Merci Chocolates!!!! GAAAAAAH!!!!  And when I say it'll hold them, I mean it'll hold them like a glove. hehe.

4 wide, 3 deep.  PERFECT FIT!

I used the Porch scene stamp from the *FREE* stamp set. This stamp is perfect to use on it's own.

Ok, let's build a box!

Here's what you'll need:

For the Box:
*Gray Granite Cardstock cut at 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" Scored at 1 1/8" on all four sides
* Liquid Glue to assemble Box

For the Wrap:
*Gray Granite Cardstock cut at 3 1/8" x 9" Scored on the LONG SIDE at: 1 3/4", 2 7/8", 6", & 7 1/8"
* Layering Squares Dies
* Stitched Shapes Dies
* Layering Circles Dies
* Calypso Coral Cardstock cut at: 3" x 3"
* Whisper White Cardstock cut at: 2 5/8" x 2 5/8"
* Scrap of So Saffron for 1 5/8" scalloped circle
* Tear & Tape to fasten the wrap/belly band

Assemble box in the "standard fashion". If you're not sure about how to do that, you can see how here:

After the base is assembled, you'll just wrap the belly band around the box and adhere using liquid glue or Tear & Tape.

Stamp the porch scene in the provided Basic Gray ink, on the Whisper White Cardstock.  Use the Layering Squares Dies to cut the Scalloped Square out of the Coral Cardstock.  Use the Stitched Shapes Square Die to cut the porch scene out of the Whisper White Cardstock. Adhere the white layer to the coral layer using snail. Apply dimensionals to the back of the coral piece, and adhere entire piece to the top of the belly band.

Wrap a length of the kit's twine around the entire box and tie into a cute bow.

Stamp sentiment on the included faux stitched circle and layer it onto the So Saffron scalloped circle. Attach to box using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Fill your cute little box with whatever gift you like! (a dozen Merci Chocolates would be nice!)
