Flowering Foils Week! All the colors of the Rainbow

Good morning everyone! Today, we're wrapping up the Flowering Foils Coronacation Week with our 5th and final card.  I hope you love it as much as I do!

I give you........  The Flowering Foils Rainbow Card!

I think we NEED this right now.  Don't you?  There's so much uncertainty and fear going on right now with the Covid 19 virus and all the other stuff, that we need a little sunshine and rainbow!

I have been posting a new video EACH DAY THIS WEEK (Monday-Friday at least) and each project features the So Sentimental Bundle and the Flowering Foils Designer Series Paper!

When you order the So Sentimental Bundle and a pack of Stampin' Dimensionals, you will earn the Flowering Foils DSP for FREE!!! AND, when you use the host code pictured here, you'll also get a FREE set of Rhinestone Basic Jewels! YAY! Click the image here to go directly to a cart with these products:

Ok, are you ready to make a Rainbow?

The So Sentimental bundle makes easy work of #Loveitchopit with your Designer Series Papers.  Simply "chop" your DSP to 4" x 5 1/4" and layer to the front of a card base, then attach a sentiment piece from the bundle! Easy Peezy!  Of course, we've been adding a piece of coordinating ribbon as we've gone along too.

We'll start with a 4 1/4" x 11" Piece of Melon Mambo Cardstock (scored at 5 1/2") for our card base.

You'll also need:
* A piece of the Flowering Foils DSP measuring 3 7/8" x 5 3/8"
* A piece of Whisper White Cardstock (for the inside layer) measuring 4" x 5 1/4"
* A piece of Call Me Clover Cardstock (for the front layer) measuring 4" x 5 1/4"
* A piece of Whisper White Cardstock big enough to die cut the Stitched So Sweetly Label
* Approximately 6" of Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon
* Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
* Various Shades of Stampin' Blends Markers
* Various Shades of Stampin' Write Markers
* Rhinestone Basic Jewels

As with the other cards this week, you'll want to color your background first.

I used nearly every color of Stampin' Blend on this card! Can you believe it?  So, just pick a bunch of the colors you like and use them.  It helps to remember the layout of the rainbow though, so I'll tell you this order:

Red
Pink
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Purple

If you follow that basic pattern, you'll get a gorgeous rainbow!

Die cut the Stitched Label from the scrap of Whisper White and from the center of the Call Me Clover.  Stamp the sentiment on the White Label.  Using your Snips or Stampin' Trimmer cut the white label just inside the stitching marks.  This will make the perfect size layer for the sentiment.

I adhered the White layer directly to the Clover Label, but then used Dimensionals to attach it to the front of the card.

You can see the colors on the envelope in the first photo.  I used Stampin' Write Markers and colored directly on the floral image stamp.

DO NOT USE YOUR STAMPIN' BLENDS TO COLOR DIRECTLY ON YOUR STAMPS!!!

It doesn't work and  you'll permanently stain your stamp.  If you don't have stampin' write markers to make a rainbow, I recommend using sponge daubers to apply a few inks direct or just choose your favorite color. :-) There's always a way around!

See how I did the rainbow effect (and how I assembled the card) here:

I did the "rainbow effect on the envelope as well as the inside layer. It was very cute!

The last thing is to apply adhesive to the back of the DSP and wrap your strip of Ribbon around it before you apply it to the card front.  Then you can put your label in place.

I hope today's card brings a smile to your face and brightens your day! Take the time to color and enjoy the slower pace for just a bit today.  Nice cleansing breaths and a renewed energy within!

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting!
