On Saturday, I shared several alternative projects I made using the May 2021 Batter Up Paper Pumpkin kit. You can see that blog post HERE. I created a few different cards, a fun tag showcasing a piece of the Double Bubble gum that was included in the kit, and even shared a completely NON-baseball project that I created for Mother's Day.
It's a real joy to see all the incredible things that people create with the Paper Pumpkin kits. That's why I enjoy the Paper Pumpkin Groupies Facebook Group! It never ceases to amaze me what people come up with!

I'm so excited to share one of my other alternative projects with you today. If I'm being honest, this one may be my favorite! I just love how it turned out!
I give you, a vintage popcorn box! Isn't it neat?

I found a template online and traced it onto BumbleBee Cardstock.
I inked up all the edges of the box and the DSP layers in Memento Ink to make it look older. I also inked up the edges of all the embellishment pieces.
After I placed all of the DSP layers onto the box, I assembled it using Tear & Tape and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I tied a length of each Playful Pets Trim (black/white and red) around the center and into a bow at the side of the front panel. I used just a touch of glue on two sides to keep the trim from getting bumped and sliding down the box.
The bats criss crossed each other and then were glued to the back of the "You're in a League of your own" piece. I also attached a baseball to the upper corner the same way. Then I used dimensionals to attach the entire piece to the front of the box.
Once everything was in place, I added a few of those fabulous resin dots from the kit to finish it up.

This is a really good sized project. I would say comparable to a real popcorn box. I love how it turned out!
