Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop - Autumn/Winter Mini

The brand new 2021 Holiday Catalog has just released and it is packed FULL of beautiful new products to create with! This month's Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop is all about sharing fun and fabulous ideas with you!

On page 8 of the Holiday Catalog  is the cutest product suite you've ever seen!! It's absolutely delightful, with it's classic Christmas feel and sweet treats! Of course, I'm talking about the Gingerbread & Peppermint collection.  In that collection is this super sweet little pillow style gift box.

The Pretty Pillow Box  Dies are a fantastic resource for the upcoming holidays.  I see little decorative favor boxes, laying atop beautiful table place settings, containing after dinner mints or other sweet treats.   Or, perhaps there's an upcoming Wedding or Baby Shower?  This little gift box (or treat holder?) would be perfect for themed party favors!

The die set not only includes the box itself, but also includes  a tag and a couple label options as well as a few little decorative elements too!

I used the Kraft Cardstock and Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Series Paper from the suite collection for the base of the box and the decorative flap.

By gluing BOTH sides shut, you can make the box open and close from the top, which gives it a little pouch type of feel.  I used half a velcro dot set for a closure to my box.  They came in a package of twenty (I believe) from the Dollar Tree. I LOVE that place!

To make the flap cover, I die cut a piece of DSP with the flap portion of the die.  Then I trimmed about a 1/8" strip off the top edge so that it would leave a little border around it on the bottom. I lined the straight edge up with the top edge of the box and adhered the panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  It helps to use a bone folder and make a little curve in the flap before you try to close it.

I love that the die set included it's own coordinating tag.  SUPER HANDY! hehe.  Once it was cut from Basic White Cardstock, I stamped "Season's Greetings" from the Penguin Place stamp set in Memento Black Ink, and then stamped the little peppermint candies (from the Frosted Gingerbread stamp set)  around the edges in Real Red Ink.

The Playful Pets Trim Combo pack has proven to be just perfect in so many occasions this year, that I really enjoyed using it to tie the tag around the box. The tied trim piece will just slide off the side of the box allowing the recipient to open their gift easily.

I can't wait to play with this die set a bit more and see what other fun ways I can use it! I see a Halloween Treat Holder in my future! ;-) Stay tuned!!
