You're a Peach Scrap Birthday Card

Heya My crafty friends! How are you today?  I've got a fun way of using up some of your Designer Series Paper scraps to create a sweet card.  Would you like to see?

I'm featuring the "You're a Peach" Suite with the Designer Series Paper from the 2021 Annual Catalog, as well as the totally sweet stamp set.

Often times, when I'm creating projects, I end up with little 3/4" or 1" wide strips of DSP.  These strips are PERFECT for this card! As you can see, I have just 6 different strips here. Each ranging from 1/2" x 3/4" and all approximately 4" long. You can have as much or as little variation in sizes as you like. It's entirely up to you.

Once you've got your strips collected, you can choose to leave the ends squared up or trimmed at an angle. You can see that's what I've done here.

My card base is an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock, scored at 4 1/4". Then I have a 4" x 5 1/4" layer of Basic White. And this is what I've glued my strips to.  I stamped Happy Birthday on a 4 1/8" x 5/8" strip of Basic White Cardstock and then attached it across the card using dimensionals. Honestly, this could have just as easily been a 1/2" wide strip, but 5/8" is what I grabbed out of the bag of white strips I have leftover after countless projects.   The sentiment is stamped in Memento Black.  The inside has a 4" x 5 1/4" layer of Basic White Cardstock that I stamped a peach on.

This is a really quick and easy way to use up little scraps of DSP.  Do you have a favorite way of using up your scraps?  I'd love for you to share projects you've made with DSP scraps in THE STAMPIN' CHIC'S FACEBOOK GROUP!  Join us!
