Celebrating Sunflowers

Good morning friends! Anyone else glad for the weekend? I'm looking forward to grilling out this evening!

Summertime is in full swing and few things say summertime more than beautiful Sunflowers.  The "CELEBRATE SUNFLOWERS" stamp & die bundle from Stampin' Up creates some of the most beautiful sunflowers I've seen!  Of course, you don't have to take my word for it.

The Stamp set includes two sizes of sunflowers. I used the smaller one to heat emboss a golden sunflower background.  The large one was stamped in Bumblebee ink on Bumblebee cardstock and then the coordinating dies used to cut the stamped image and that beautifully detailed overlay.   The leaves were stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on Mossy Meadow cardstock, and also heat embossed in gold on the top background layer.

As you can see, the dies really enhance what you can do with the stamp set.  It's absolutely GORGEOUS!

I used Soft Suede Stampin' Blends to color the center of my sunflowers.  There's a die for it too, but I like the look of the colored center.

The large sunflower makes a sweet gift tag for treats, when paired up with the Fancy Tag Topper punch and that adorable Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon!

I'll bet you can think of other fantastic ideas for using this bundle too!  What about a wreath or a gift bag made with the sunflowers?  That would be beautiful!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, my friends! I hope you enjoyed my projects! Have a wonderful weekend!

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting!

Pampered Pets CASE-IT Wednesday

Good morning friends! It's time for another CASE-It Wednesday.  Yay!

Ya know, I absolutely ADORE the Playful Pets product suite on pages 40-42 of the 2020 Annual Catalog. I love the colorway, the trimmings, and especially the Dogs & Cats!  So, when I browsed through the pages looking for this week's CASE-It project, it was pretty easy to choose.

What's not to love about these furry little friends?

I chose this card to CASE because it's not a typical size for a card.  It's final measurements are 4"x4" square.  So, once completed, your options to send the card are to create a 4 1/8" x 4 1/8" square envelope, or put the 4"x4" card into a standard A2 size envelope, or hand deliver it.  Though, it is a great size for a nice large notecard in a gift basket.

Here's what you need to complete this project:

8" x 4" Basic Black Cardstock for Base (scored at 4")
3 3/4" x 1 3/4" Designer Series Paper
2 1/2" x 3 3/4" Whisper White for the front panel
3 7/8" x 3 7/8" Whisper White for the inside panel
3" x 3/4" Balmy Blue for banner across front
Scrap of Whisper White to stamp and diecut the dog image onto
Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
Real Red Ink Pad
Gray Granite Stampin' Blends
Real Red Stampin' Blends
Pampered Pets Stamp & Dies Bundle

I stamped the dog on the 2 1/2" White strip in Tuxedo Black and also on the scrap of White.  I die cut him out of the scrap to layer onto the 2 1/2" strip.

Adhere the DSP near the bottom of the card front.
Layer the 2 1/2" White over top.
Use dimensionals to attach the die cut dog over top of the other stamped one.
Also use dimensionals to attach the blue banner across the bottom.

For the inside, I kept the card simple and just stamped the dog bowl and the little set of hearts. I used the Real Red Stampin' Blends to color both in.

Always remember that the Stampin' Up catalog is an incredible Idea Book where you can jump start your creativity by simply CASE-ing a ready made project!  If you don't already have a Stampin' Up demonstrator, I would love to be yours and send you a new Stampin' up catalog/Idea Book!  Just let me know!

Blossoms in Bloom

Hey there friends! I thought I'd focus on a beautiful Bundle that requires very little effort to make it look fabulous. It's the Blossoms in Bloom set.  With two very large design dies that cover a card front, you won't have to worry about creating your own layout.  Simply die cut the background and then the overlay piece for an instantly special card!

See how they layer together to do all the creative work for you?

You can create all sorts of color combinations that look terrific!

While the dies can decorate a card all on their own, the beautiful coordinating stamp set lends a hand in creating something fabulous too!

LOVE the sentiments!!

A Little Cocktail If You Please!

Good morning friends! I have a fun project for you today. It's featuring the all new "Nothing's Better Than...." Stamp & Die Bundle.

The only thing better than Cocktails......May be Chocolate!

I love that the Stamp & Die set really make this project super easy to create! It's a two step stampin' set, so that means the little wedge of lime and the umbrella even have their own stamp to color whatever you like.

Maybe it's not a lime.  Maybe it's an orange slice? Or a lemon?  Who knows! You're the drink master with this set!

The project is easy enough to do.

Here's what you'll need:
2 1/4" x 6" Flirty Flamingo Base (Scored at 2 1/4" on the long side)
2 1/8" x 3 3/8" Whisper White Layer
1/2" x 2 3/4" Whisper White Strip for sentiment
Whisper White Scraps for: scalloped circle die cut and drink glass
1" x 3 1/4" Basic Black Strip with adhesive sheet attached to the back for die cutting
Bermuda Bay ink pad
Melon Mambo ink pad
Granny Apple Green ink pad
Tuxedo Black ink pad
Stampin' Seal
Stampin' Dimensionals

Use the Layering Circles Dies to create the hole in the center of the 2 1/4" scored section of the Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. Use same circle and relative scalloped circle to create the Whisper White ring.

Stamp the drink glass in Tuxedo black on a scrap of white cardstock, then use the two step stamping method to stamp all the elements on it. Die cut using the coordinating dies.

I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the drink to the tag. I also used Stampin' Dimensionals on each end of the sentiment strip after I dovetail cut the ends.

This hang tag came together rather quickly and is SUPER STINKIN' CUTE!!!  You could easily modify it for a "FULL SIZE" bottle, by making it just a touch wider (maybe 2 1/2") and a bit longer (maybe 8 1/2").  Just make sure to adjust your score line. Notice that with the score line, it creates a "SQUARE" space.

Wouldn't this make a terrific gift for someone you know is going through a rough patch? That mama who has a few young'uns at home and they've been cooped up far too long? lol.  Or someone you know could just use a little break.  And maybe when we can get back to having dinners and parties and things, this would make a terrific hostess gift tag!

Thanks so much for spending a little time with me today my friends! I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Until Next Time,
Happy Crafting!
