January Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Good morning my Crafty Friends!!! How are you today?  We are participating in a Crafty Challenge with the Crafty Collaborations Crew.

Pictured below is our challenge.  I have created a card using all of the elements posted here in the photo. :-) Would you like to see?

My regal color is Blackberry Bliss. I tied in some Fresh Freesia and Basic Black to coordinate with the FREE Favored Flowers 12x12" Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  I am IN LOVE with how the DSP is doing all the work on this card.  My "Thank You" sentiment comes from the new Something Fancy Stamp Set in the Spring 2023 Mini Catalog.  This stamp set has coordinating labels dies as well, but I stamped directly onto the Scalloped Contours layer instead.  Isn't it just beautiful?

I don't have the bundle that coordinates with the DSP just yet, so I fussy cut each of the flowers from the paper instead.  They're super simple to do and OOOOOOH so gorgeous!! As you can see here.

I love how rich and dark the Blackberry Bliss ink is.

I inked around the edges of the Fresh Freesia layers (card inside and outside) with a sponge dauber, to fill one of the items on the challenge and to bring out the color of the Fresh Freesia against the black background layers.

My little crafty helper approves.

For the ribbon, I cut up the length of a piece of Black & White Gingham ribbon.  I'll be REALLY sad if Stampin' Up ever retires this ribbon. It's one of my all time favorites!  I also unraveled the layers of a length of Basic White Twine from the Essentials Pack, to add some texture to my bow.  You'll be able to see it tied below.

Isn't that bow fabulous? Gaaaaaah!!! I love it! Thanks so much to my sweet friend Tammy for sharing how she makes her amazing bows! It's so much fun!

I finished off my card with some Gold Pearls from the Festive Pearls set. I'm really happy this embellishment is carrying over from the Holiday Catalog!

A better look at that gorgeous bow, along with the fussy cut flower from the DSP.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!

For the inside of the card, I fussy cut one of the flowers from the edge of the DSP.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, Never EVER throw away bits and pieces like this! It works PERFECTLY for insides and Envelopes. Yes, I put a couple on my envelope too! YAYA for that DSP really doing the hard work! WOOOT WOOOT!

I hope you've enjoyed today's card. I am in LOVE with it! Now to get it sent out! :-)
