Jan 2023 ICS Blog Hop Introducing Sale-a-brations

Good evening my crafty friends! I'm so happy to have you here today. :-D The ICS Design Team are bringing you some terrific inspiration for using the products in the BRAND NEW 2023 Sale-A-Bration Brochure! And boy are you in for a treat! There are some seriously adorable stamps and papers in it! WOWZA!

My project is a set of four 3x3" notecards.  They are the epitome of Simple Stamping (or SIP) "Stamps", "Ink", and "Paper". I'm using the Thanks A Bunch Stamp Set, which I'm particularly fond of, in combination with only a couple colors of ink.  Now, Realistically, you could use just TWO ink pads (Garden Green and Pumpkin Pie) and use the "Stamping Off" method to get the two tone look.  But I actually used Mango Melody and Pear Pizzazz as well.

The stamp set itself has a two step stampin' feature with the body of the large carrot. Two-Step Stampin' is one of my absolute FAVORITE techniques! You can get such beautiful images that way.

Ok, as I mentioned, these are called "SIP" cards. They're perfect beginner cards because they don't require a lot of supplies and they're very simple to do.  I started out with a 12x12" piece of Basic White Cardstock and cut it in half to 6" x 12".  Then, I scored down the middle on the short side at 3".  From there, I turned the paper on the LONG side and cut at 3" intervals. This gave me FOUR 3"x6" card bases.

I used Mango Melody for the carrots and Garden Green for the stems and sentiment.

I really like how the stamp set has three different sizes of carrots.  I've already seen some fantastic projects using this stamp set, and I'm eager to play with it a bit more too!

As I said, these are very simple cute little notecards.  You could make a whole stack from one 12x12" sheet of Cardstock and create a matching box to put them in. It would be a fabulous gift for someone!

I love all the sentiments with this set too. So stinkin' cute!

Wow! It's been a very long time since I've done such simple cards. But I really like them! They were actually quite a bit of fun to create and, as you can imagine, it didn't take long!
