A sneak peek January/June mini catalog

Good morning my crafty friends! How are you today? I hope your Holidays are going well and that you're having a wonderful time!  Speaking of time......... 

It's time for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop!!! YAYAYAYAYA!!!  And, Make-It Monday too of course!  I can't wait to share this month's Blog Hop with you because the theme is "A SNEAK PEEK JANUARY/JUNE MINI CATALOG"!  Oh my!!! You're gonna get to see lots of beautiful projects created using some BRAND NEW up and coming products! How awesome is that?

I have to tell you that this Rainbow of Happiness Bundle is going to be one of my FAVORITES from the new catalog! It's so cute and fun and full of possibilities. 

Just look at all the gorgeous color!!! I love lots and lots of color, and with this theme, I'm able to go wild! 

I started out with an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Misty Moonlight card base (scored at 4 1/4").  Then, added a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" piece of that Pattern Party (HOST) Designer Series Paper. That paper is exclusive to anyone who hosts a workshop/class/party and it absolutely fabulous! You get 48 sheets!  One side has beautiful colored patterns, and the other side is black and white. The best of both worlds. 

I used the biggest Scalloped Contours Die for the Magenta Madness scalloped layer.  It's attached to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The Basic White Layer is just big enough to fit inside the space of the scallops.  Before I attached it to the card front, I added the super cute glimmery rainbow you see on the card.  This was achieved by using the biggest die in the Rainbow set, and die cutting from Rainbow Glimmer Paper.  Each beam of the rainbow was attached to the White panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then, I punched two clouds from Basic White Cardstock using the new cloud punch.  The one cloud is glued directly to the card, while the other is popped up with dimensionals to add some dimension to the card. 

I finished off by curving the "You make me happy" stamp to fit around the curve of the rainbow.  Then stamped it in Memento Ink. 

I expect that we will see lots and lots of absolutely GORGEOUS projects featuring this bundle, as the new catalog becomes available. Stay tuned!

The fun of making cards......

....... is sending and receiving them!

Today, I wanted to share a couple of cards that my girls have made. I'm so proud of them and so happy that they enjoy making cards.

This first one is from my girl Kim. She totally fell in love with this Suite when she saw it. 

I love the way the Metallic Mesh Ribbon looks with the color combination here. 

This card was done by Shari. I love that she used the Heartwarmings Hugs Designer Series Paper along with the Peaceful Deer Bundle.

This is a terrific card for mass production. 

I love getting cards in the mail. It's such a welcome break from the "other" mail we get. 

It's Christmas Eve and we're gearing up to spend a couple days with family and friends. I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday weekend!

For the love of Cats and Dogs!

Hello there my crafty friends!

I have a couple of cards for my dog and cat lovin' friends today. 

The Sweet Little Stockings Stamp & Die Bundle, coordinated with the matching Designer Series Paper, make super adorable cards and other fun projects.

This card was a lot of fun to make. It's a bridge front fancy fold card. 

The dies cut some of the images in the DSP. The images that don't have dies, are easily fussy cut. Like the kitty in the box here.

The Scalloped Contours Dies are one of my go-to die sets for layers and backgrounds. 

I fussy cut the mouse and box for this one, and as you can see I don't worry too much about getting in all the tight spaces. 

Lots of layers and lots of fun are on these cards.

Peaceful Cabin CASE-IT Wednesday

Hey there my crafty friends! It's CASE-IT Wednesday! 

Today, I'm sharing a couple of cards I CASE'd from Pinterest.  These are cards that were made by another Stampin' Up Demonstrator and I thought they were so pretty that I had to recreate them for myself. I hope you'll love them as much as I did!

The first card is a fabulous Slimline card. The wonderful thing about this is that it's using a nice strip of the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper for the card front. It's so awesome that we can do that with papers like these.  And, I made the envelope out of the DSP as well. It takes most of a 12x12" sheet to make one envelope, but they're really nice looking and make for a VERY happy mailbox!

The 2nd card also uses the DSP to it's full potential. With just a single little label made over the front, the DSP really is the star of the show on this card. I love the beautifully detailed cabins!

CASE-ing is a terrific way to get your creative juices flowing again.  It gives the original designer warm fuzzies that you liked a project enough to copy it, and it's a quick way of building up your stash of greeting cards!  Just be sure to share credit where you can. :-)
