Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Kisses and Hugs

Good evening my crafty friends!  It's time for the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop! YAY! Anytime is a good time for Paper Pumpkin! Wouldn't you agree? 

The Kisses and Hugs kit includes all the supplies you see here, to create 8 super cute and fun Valentine's cards!

Each of the designers in the hop have created a fabulous alternative project featuring the January Kisses and Hugs Paper Pumpkin kit.  You're going to get LOTS of inspiration and ideas for really getting the most out of your kit.  And THAT, my friends, is a special thing!

So, without further adieu, let me introduce you to my alternative project.

I have created a super sweet and fun Rosette that can be hung on a car's rearview mirror, or a door knob, or even a fancy decoration on a gift box! It's a pretty descent size, so it's perfect to stand alone. 

It's made with two strips of 12" x 2" Blushing Bride Cardstock, stamped in Gray Granite and Blushing Bride ink, then scored at every 1/2" all the way down the strips.  Then, the two are glued together to form a ring. This can be done with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. 

I used the 3rd smallest Layering Circles Die and Gray Granite Cardstock to make the medallions in the center to hold the rosette together. I recommend using a hot glue gun for this step.   

The embellishments all came from the kit itself.  So you can easily re-create this with just the added strips of cardstock and Blushing Bride ink. 

"LOVE YOU"...... 'nuff said.  I cut the sentiment strip down to 2" x 1/2", and then dovetail cut the ends. 

I used the Heart Punch Pack to cut some hearts out of each of the card bases for this layer of embellishments. 

Add just a little of that Very Vanilla Lace Trim and a Blushing Bride Frayed Ribbon hanger, and you're all done! So stinkin' cute!!
