March 2025 Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Daisy Daydream

Hello my crafty friends!! I hope you're doing well today!  Are you ready for another Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop?  I know I am.  I've got a fun shaker card to share with you! YAYA!

One of the great things about this card is that it uses a lot of elements from the kit.  There's very little you will need to pull out of your crafty stash!

From the kit: I used a blue card base, one of the deckled and embossed layers with the punch out circle space, a vellum label, one of the bigger white labels, a couple of the die cut daisies, and a white envelope that's shown with the window card.  It has the honeycomb and bees on the flap.

First thing I did was grab a scrap of Window Sheet big enough to cover the hole from the deckled layer. It's approximately 3 1/8" x 3 1/8". I glued it directly to the backside of the panel for my shaker.

I like to use adhesive foam strips for my shakers because I like the good closed up window space and the strips are a bit higher profile than Stampin' Dimensionals.  They're really good for shakers and if you don't have them in your stash, I highly recommend! Not only do I bend a strip all the way around the outer edge of the window, but I also use the same strips to go around the whole panel and a strip or two in the spaces between the window and the edge to keep the layer from sagging on my card.

You can see from the photo here, that I fussy cut the printed bits off of the envelope.  I was pretty impressed with the idea of using these bits to dress up the card with! HA! It's really fun when you think outside the box and the idea actually works!

The two honeycomb flap sections were glued directly to the front of  the card base (being sure that they would show through the window how I wanted them to).

The daisy piece I added to the deckled window layer, slightly overlapping the window area.

I wanted to soften the edges up a bit so I used a little Crushed Curry ink and a blending brush to add a light amount of color around the deckled layer and the card front.

Once I had that done, I dumped a bit of the Champagne Iridescent Gems  onto the middle of the "window space" on the card base.  Before pulling the foam strip backing off the deckled layer, I held it over the card to confirm that it was how I wanted it.   Then, pull the backing and stick it directly onto the card base.  The foam strips are REALLY good adhesive, so you won't have much time to adjust if you don't get it aligned right.

Now that I have my shaker element in place, I could finish up the card front.

"Sweetest Birthday Wishes" stamped in Lost Lagoon Ink (included in the kit) and a bit of Crushed Curry inked around the edges of the white label, was perfect! I added Stampin' Dimensionals to the backside of the label and stuck it to the Vellum deckled strip. Then, I attached this whole piece to the card front near the bottom.

I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the two bigger Daisies to the card. The little half daisy was attached with just a touch of Tombow as was the few Champagne gems.

My card needed just a little something, so I decided to add a Linen bow above the daisies on the right.  Then, to finish it all up, I brought in some Wink of Stella.  You know that sparkle just makes it all nice!

I really hope you like my shaker card.  I think the Champagne gems look like little bits of beeswax so I thought they made the perfect little shaker bits. :-)

If you just can't get enough of this kit, you can visit my online shop to see if there are any refills left available.  As of the moment I'm typing this, they're still available, but who knows when they'll sell out.  You can click the Daisy Daydream image here to go directly to the item page!

There's lots of fun elements in a refill for you to play with!

I'm kinda sad I didn't use the add-on dies "Spring is in the Air" (#166237 $12usd). I had every intention to.  That lil bee and honeycomb piece are just too stinking cute! Of course I'll hafta make another alternative project and use them! AWE DARN! :-D   I'm really loving the idea of a die set that coordinates with three months of Paper Pumpkin at a time!  It's been terrific!  If you haven't discovered these dies, or haven't started ordering them, I highly encourage you to do so!

JANUARY 2025 Hearts for You Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop

Hello my crafty friends!! Oh boy have I got a terrific project to share with you today. AND it comes with the added bonus of an awesome blog hop! That's right folks, today we're gonna be hopping along the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop! WOOT WOOT!!!  It's been a minute since I have been able to hop with these incredible designers, so I'm seriously thrilled to be able to join in on the fun this month!

The January 2025 "Hearts For You" Paper Pumpkin kit includes all the supplies needed to create NINE absolutely adorable Valentine cards.

And just look at all the delightful goodies in the kit!  Lots of fun stuff to play with!

I really fell in love with this kit and had a great time creating alternative projects with it.

Take a look at this sweet Valentine.  It was created by using the punch out negative from the kit.  I turned it into a stencil and colored on the rows of hearts.

I love thinking outside the box when it comes to making my alternative projects.  There's no scrap or  negative border safe when it comes to creating stencils.  I just use some painter's tape to make a wide border around the outside, so that I don't accidentally get color where I don't want it.

In this case, I also had to pay attention to the areas I had already colored because the stencil wasn't actually wide enough to go the whole way across the card layer.  No worries though.  All I had to do was shift the stencil to line up with a few of the hearts and color in the next ones! Easy peezy!!

The card base is an 8 1/2" x 5 /2" piece of Real Red Cardstock (scored at 4 1/4").  Then, I cut a red striped card (from the kit) down to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and die cut the heart using the fabulous coordinating add-on dies "Spring is in the Air" (#166237 $12usd).  I'm really loving the idea of a die set that coordinates with three months of Paper Pumpkin at a time!  It's been terrific!  If you haven't discovered these dies, or haven't started ordering them, I highly encourage you to do so!

Look at the little bee and honeycomb! I can't WAIT to be able to use that one!!!

I cut two pieces of Basic White Cardstock 5 1/4" x 4" for the front and inside panels and colored the rows of hearts in Pretty In Pink Ink with a blending brush.  Then, I used the little skinny strips of the striped card base cut from the front panel to put a strip down the left side of the card front and across the bottom of the inside panel.  Waste not, want not!

I should have taken a photo of my envelope, but I used the stencil to cover the flap in rows of hearts and then did a single row of hearts along the bottom front.  I really like to match my cards and envelopes by doing the same or similar actions as the inside of the cards.  The only thing better than getting a beautifully decorated envelope in the mail, is getting the gorgeous handmade card inside! <3 <3 <3

I really had fun making this card and I hope it gives you the idea of looking at your "scrap trash" in a whole new way! At least it gives us more fun ways to use our kit contents!!
