July Paper Pumpkin Painted Petals Alternative #2

Good morning my crafty friends!! Yesterday we joined the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Crew for our monthly alternatives blog hop.  Today, I would like to show you what I did with the rest of the card base I cut apart.  Would that be ok?

This is a terrific way to get more bang for your buck when it comes to Paper Pumpkin kits. I don't know about you, but I hate it when the party is over and I've used all my goodies. ESPECIALLY when the kit is as gorgeous as this one has been!  Oh my!!

And, of course, the add-on Every Celebration dies (item #164991).  For only $12 you can get this set of dies that coordinate with the July Painted Petals kit, the August Time For Cake kit, and the September Autumn Abundance kit!

If this card looks INCREDIBLY similar to the kit, it's because it is indeed.  I used the front of the original card, cut down to 4" x 5 1/4", and layered it onto the front of a Melon Mambo 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (scored at 4 1/4") standard A2 size card base.

Do you recognize the little 1/4" strip of Melon Mambo printed card?  YES!  It's that little scrap we cut off the top of yesterday's alternative project!  Waste not, want not! It's glued directly to the front of the card.

I used adhesive foam strips to attach that beautiful floral frame to the front.

The sentiment is stamped using the Gray Granite Ink from the kit, and the sentiment is attached with Dimensionals.

The final step to the front is just adding a few of those adorable adhesive sequins!

For the inside (and the envelope) I used the flower stamp and the included ink.

I love how the card looks so similar to the kit, but not quite, AND that I was able to create TWO cards for the price of one by simply adding a couple extra pieces of cardstock!

What do you think, my friends?  Good stuff?  Would you like to see ANOTHER alternative project featuring the July Painted Petals Paper Pumpkin kit?  How about TWO?

Take a look at these ones.  Each of them used elements from the kit, but also just a little extra Cardstock and a bit of Linen Thread!

Which one is your favorite?  Lemme know in the comments below!!
