Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Good Things Comes in Small Packages

Good evening crafty friends! Didn't I just see you?  It happens that way sometimes. lol.  Tonight, we're joining the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop to show you some fabulous alternative project ideas for the December 2022 "Good Things Come In Small Packages" kit.

This kit is chock full of bits and pieces that can be used for all sorts of fun projects.  But the kit itself is pretty neat too! It includes supplies to create and decorate 16 fabulous little gift boxes!!

The project I have for you this evening may seem incredibly similar to the kit, and you would be right in thinking so.  But it is a bit different.  It's an open top pocket, rather than a closed box. This could allow you to put much taller items inside.  Though, I had a terrific treat that was begging for a gift package and,  wouldn't you know, it fit perfectly!

You can see from the photo below that the kit really did come with an awesome selection of bits and pieces that could be used for so many exciting things!  I can't wait for you to see what everyone has come up with! Tons of ideas here!

We'll start my little pocket treat holder off with some cutting away of bits. Reference the photo here to see how to cut it properly.

Once I cut away all the excess stuff (YES I kept the bits of scraps! You never know when they'll come in handy!), I glued the pocket together.  You can see here, where I put the glue to close it up.

I cut a 1 1/2" strip of belly band and wrapped it around the holder.  Yes, there will be a little gap in the front.  But by the time you add that printed layer on with Stampin' Dimensionals, it's hidden!

The kit comes with Garden Green ink, so that's what I used for my stamping as well.

I added a couple die cut leaves and the printed flower for embellishment and finished my project with a little gray bow made from the included twine. :-D

This is a really cute little pocket and of course you could use it for a variety of treats! A gift card would fit nicely too! :-D

The project(s) I shared the other day were cards I created using the add-on Cards and Envelopes set.  They are since sold out, but you could still use regular cardstock for the card bases instead.  Here's a quick picture of those cards.  You can click the image to go to that blog post to get more details. :-)

The cards and envelopes were pretty nice! I hope you were able to get your hands on some!
