Good morning my crafty friends!!! How are you today? It's the last Monday of the month and that means it's time for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop!! This month's theme is all about my favorite time of year and I'm so excited to share my card with you, so let's get started!
I'm using the Rustic Crate Stamp & Die Bundle for my card, combined with the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper. What a beautiful combination it is too!! Oh boy!!
I guess you could say this is a Fancy Fold Card. Though, it's very simple. The base is a standard 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card, scored at 4 1/4". But, it's also scored one more time. There's a 1" fold on the front edge. It's been folded back and glued in place.
You'll need:
* 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" THICK Basic White Cardstock (scored at 1" and 4 1/4")
* Copper Clay Cardstock pieces: 3 1/8" x 5 3/8" and (cut 2) 7/8" x 5 3/8"
* 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" THICK Basic White Cardstock (scored at 1" and 4 1/4")
* Copper Clay Cardstock pieces: 3 1/8" x 5 3/8" and (cut 2) 7/8" x 5 3/8"
* Autumn DSP pieces: 3" x 5 1/4" and (cut 2) 3/4" x 5 1/4"
* Pecan Pie Cardstock: scraps to cut crate
* Pretty Peacock Cardstock: scraps for gloves
* Basic White Cardstock: scrap for image and 2 7/8" x 1/2" strip for sentiment
After layering the 3 1/8" piece of Copper Clay Cardstock and the 3" piece of DSP to the card front, I glued the 1" strip back on top of it. Then, I layered the Copper Clay and DSP strips onto the front and inside edges as shown. The white borders from the card base really stand out nicely this way.
I stamped the pumpkin and sunflowers image in Early Espresso ink and colored with my Stampin' Blends Markers.
After assembling the crate, I slid the image into it with a little line of glue along the back bottom edge, to hold it inside. The gloves were also attached with just a touch of liquid glue.
That beautiful copper metallic ribbon was cut lengthwise in half and then folded over behind the crate before I attached it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
"Blessed Beyond Measure" was stamped in Early Espresso ink on the sentiment strip and then also attached with Dimensionals.
I finished off this beautiful card with a few of the Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots.
This card was so much fun to create and that crate is just as pretty as it can be! Don't you think?
As I was creating the crate piece for the card, I thought it would make an adorable little gift tag. So, I set to work making another one to try it out! For this tag, I actually stamped two of the pumpkin/sunflower images. I colored all of one image and the two sunflowers from the other. I fussy cut the flowers and attached them to the completely colored image with Stampin' Dimensionals. That made a really nice piece! "FOR YOU" is the little label die cut from the coordinating set. It's also attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Of course, if this is to be a tag, it needs to have a way of attaching to a package! I added a lenght of Gold Trim to the back handle of the crate, and Viola!! A super cute little fall gift tag!! I really like it, and the two together make a fine gift set!! Hmmmmmm, maybe a beautiful fall candle would be the perfect gift!
