Stampers Showcase Blog Hop Sketch Challenge

Good morning my crafty friends! How are you today?  I've got a fabulous card sketch to share with you! Not only that, but the Stampers Showcase crew have a whole blog hop full of projects using this same sketch! You're sure to get some awesome ideas today!!  Are ya ready?

We're all starting out with this same awesome sketch.  I look to sketches especially when I'm needing a little creative inspiration.  They're a terrific way to kickstart your mojo....... Mojo! HA! That's Great! This sketch comes to us courtesy of Mojo Monday.  You can google it for TONS of incredible sketches! I love them because they're not only fabulous, but usually include measurements too.  Perfect!

Ok, so you've seen the fabulous sketch. Now it's time for me to share my completed card.  I like how it turned out.  I love all the texture and fun summertime beachy colors!

The card base is Coastal Cabana. One of my all time FAVORITE colors!!  I embossed the Lemon Lime Twist layer to take away some of the "plain" negative space on it.  This is one of my favorite ways to zhuzh up a card front! To bring in a bit more texture/interest, I also replaced one of the layers with a piece of Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper (DSP).  It really helped fill in the space.

That beautiful focal image was colored with our ah-mazing Stampin' Blends markers! Oh my goodness!! I LOOOOOOVE them! So great and soooooo easy to color with! They make anyone look like a pro.

I discovered something fantastic when I was creating this card.  The 2nd largest of the Stylish Shapes Circles Dies is a PERFECT mat for the 2 3/8" Circle Punch in the Circle Sayings Bundle! Isn't that amazing??

Notice the Seashells on the envelope and Inside panel here. I love tying in the inside of my cards with the envelopes. Not only does it make them look like a beautifully matched set, but it also satisfies my "no naked insides and no naked envelopes" policy! hehehe. And, that cluster of shells is just too pretty not to use, anyways! Don't you agree?

I didn't really "need" that 1/2" strip of Coastal Cabana along the bottom of the inside panel, but since I had it on hand (and I DID say it's my favorite color!), I opted to add it.  I thought it helped the colors on the seashells pop a bit more.

Adding a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels puts the perfect finishing touches onto my card.  I'm loving the colors, the layout, the textures, just all of it. And it was so much fun to make!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to follow the hop all the way around, to see everyone else's interpretation of this sketch.  You won't be disappointed!
