Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Expressions in Color

oooooooh!!! It's Paper Pumpkin time, y'all!! YAYA!! Time for the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop! Our monthly dose of fabulous alternative projects using the current month's Paper Pumpkin kit, and what an amazing kit it is!! WOOOOOOHOOOO!!!

The June 2021 Expressions in Color Paper Pumpkin Kit coordinates with the Expressions in Ink product Suite from the 2021 Annual Catalog.  I just LOVE when they do that! :-D I feel like we get a whole lot more bang for our buck because we can reach into those resources to create amazing alternative projects.

This month's kit creates 9 beautiful cards (3 each of 3 designs).

Just look at all the fabulous things we get to create with!! *SWOOON!*

On Saturday, I joined the Crafty Collaborators and shared this beautiful alternative card with you. Remember?  Well, I've added several more alternative projects to the lineup for this month's kit. I'll share some of them here with you today! YAY!

This is the card I created for today's hop.

On one hand, it's literally the most simple card I think I've ever created.  On the other hand, that GORGEOUS Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper does all the actual work, so I didn't need to do much!

But, don't let the simplicity fool you.  It has some cool techniques to it also.

First off, is the Vellum sentiment piece. It's a die cut that's included in the kit.  I used my Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends Marker to color the backside so that it would help the piece to stand out from the background, and make the printed word really pop! It LOOKS like it's been perfectly matted though, doesn't it? Neat trick huh?

Danke is German for Thanks.  This kit will be a global kit soon, so Paper Pumpkin added Danke and Merci (French for Thanks). I wanted to use those die cuts anyways because I think many people know (or can at least guess) that the word is Thanks. I loved using danke as a nod to my German heritage. :-)

But, just in case someone didn't know or couldn't guess that it means "THANKS", I stamped the English word inside the card. :-) This is a terrific way to spread some diversity and also to use  up those extra bits.

I brought in the long watercolor image stamp from the Artistically Inked set to stamp along the bottom of the inside panel. I think that's my absolute favorite stamp out there! I just love it!

Ok, I said I had several more alternatives, didn't I?  I decided to share a few of them here for you. Enjoy!

This is a full sized card, similar to the notecard in the kit.  I love the way that Vellum has the white accents when it's been dry embossed. So cool!  Notice the Brick n Mortar background? This time, I DID mat the word DANKE. See how different it looks compared to the one above?

This is a sweet little box created from one card.  I separated the two panels of a card base and scored both pieces on all four sides at 1".

This is a variation of the notecard in the kit. I used the notecard base and layer, then changed up the rest.

I hope you enjoyed my alternative projects! I've really enjoyed creating them for you!  Be sure to hop all the way around to everyone's blogs, so you don't miss any of the beautiful projects created for you! :-D

Summertime Florals in the 2021 Annual Catalog Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Good morning my friends! I hope you're doing well today! It's time for the STAMPERS SHOWCASE BLOG HOP!!! YAYAYAYAYA! The most fabulous blog hop out there comprised of some of the most talented paper crafting designers out there! Of course you already know that this is my absolute FAVORITE blog hop!

This month's theme is all about Summertime Florals.  What a terrific theme for the beautiful month of June!

My project features the Expressions in Ink/Artistically Inked collection of products, because that's what I've been working with all weekend.  My pal Wendy and I had our Artistically Inked Blue Ridge Stampin' Escape this weekend, so it's been all about those beautiful watercolor splashes and flowers!

I'm always in need of Thank You cards, so I try to make some up whenever I can.  I LOVE the font used for the "THANKS" sentiment in this stamp set.  So pretty isn't it?

Anytime I do a White card, I always start with a THICK Basic White base.  This one is a standard 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".

Then, I added a 5 1/4" x 4" layer of regular Basic White Cardstock. You can use thick for this layer too, if you want. But I keep both kinds on hand so I just use the regular for layers.

The next thing to do is attach the DSP layers.  The floral one (with that gorgeous gold foil accent) is 5 1/4" x 1 1/4", and the Gold Foil striped one is 5 1/4" x 1/2".

I stamped "THANKS" in Evening Evergreen ink, just above the DSP layers. Then I stamped the large flower in Pale Papaya on a scrap of Basic White cardstock. I die cut the flower out and then attached it to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The bow is made from Polished Pink 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon, and then attached to the edge of the flower using a glue dot.  I added a few of the In-Color Jewels to finish it off.

Wendy and I had a terrific time with our Stampin' Escape this weekend!  I'll have tutorials available for purchase soon! Be on the lookout.  You should plan to join us for our next one coming up in October! It's always a ton of fun!

I hope you liked today's Artistically Inked Thank You Card! Be sure to click the NEXT Button to visit Annette's Blog.  You're sure to find tons of floral inspiration as you hop along! Enjoy!
