Ink.Stamp.Share April Blog Hop

Good morning friends! I'm happy to bring you a fun card sketch for the Ink.Stamp.Share April Blog Hop. We're gonna have a terrific time with this one. It's simple, beautiful, and easy to use with any theme you need!  Go along the entire hop lineup to see all sorts of interpretations of the same sketch.

Are you ready to see mine?

Well, ok! Here we go! Here's the sketch we were given.  I love the simplicity of it, yet it could easily be dressed up with some "fancy" DSP or embossing.

I chose a more classic look for my card. One of my new favorite color combinations is Misty Moonlight and BumbleBee.  So fresh and clean looking!

I used the Dragonfly Garden Stamp & Punch bundle with the Dandy Garden 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper. I'm completely in love with the DSP patterns and love mixing and matching patterns on cards! It's so much fun!

I'm using a BumbleBee Card Base (8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4") with a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White Cardstock for the first layer.  Then I added a 5 1/4" x 1 1/2" piece of the Misty Moonlight striped DSP with a 5 1/4" x 1/2" strip of BumbleBee DSP.

The banners are kindof a cheat.  The Misty Moonlight layer is 1 3/4" x 3 1/4" and the BumbleBee layer is 1 3/4" x 1 1/4".  It's just a little scrap that fits behind the blue layer.  To get them both cut the same, I lined them both together at the bottom, then cut a slit up the center and cut from each corner to the top of the slit, at the same time.  This insures a uniform layering.

I stamped a Dragonfly in Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock and then stamped the little wings background in BumbleBee. I attached it to the card with dimensionals.

A few little Rhinestone Basic Jewels added to the front gives it just the right amount of bling!

I hope you like my version of the card sketch!  Make sure you click the "NEXT" button to head over to Sue's blog, and then follow the hop around to see everyone else's interpretations as well.  This is a terrific sketch! I encourage you to make your own version too! :-D
