I know you're gonna love today's project because it's just as cute as it can be!
I love that it's made to hold a packet of flower seeds! So stinkin' cute!
This adorable little seed basket was created when a couple of my "gals" came over for a crafty day. We had such a terrific time playing with the beautiful stamps & dies and THAT PAPER!! Oh boy!
The base of the basket is a 3 1/2" x 7 1/4" strip of Crumb Cake Cardstock (scored on the long side at 1/2" and 3 7/8"). Then we took a 3 3/8" x 3 1/4" piece of Crumb Cake and ran it through the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing folder to create the wooden basket look.
One of the simplest and coolest techniques is to use a sponge dauber to lightly brush some color onto a piece of paper that has been embossed. In this case, we used Soft Suede ink and it really made the woodgrain pop!
To create the pocket, fold the 1/2" flap over. Secure in place with a glue dot on the under side of each corner. This should leave two sections that are the same size. Attach the two sections together on each side with a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals cut in half.
Tie a length of ribbon around the pocket just under the flap.

We added a few of the colored butterflies we created with our Blending Brushes. The sentiment layer was die cut from the Hippo Happiness bundle and the sentiment was stamped from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set. We thought it was perfect, talking about things "growing".
I hope you enjoy this sweet project! It would be a perfect springtime gift! Click the "NEXT" button to head over to Ms Sandra's Blog and see what HER favorite Bundle is!
