Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop

Good morning friends! It's time for a Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop!!

I just love Paper Pumpkin! That beautiful little red box brings so much joy when I see it in my mail.  I love the anticipation of seeing what projects we'll be creating, and what the stamps & ink look like! So much fun!

Thursday night in the PAPER PUMPKIN GROUPIES, I did my regular monthly unboxing video and shared a handful of my alternative projects with them.  This is one of the things I most look forward to each month! I have so much fun creating alternative projects. :-D Anywhoo, I told them that I would be sharing the measurements for a fun little Ghirardelli treat holder on this hop today!

I hope you enjoy it!

I started out with two pieces of BumbleBee Cardstock, to keep from wasting any paper. One piece for the back and one for the pocket.

The back measures 2" x  and I used the Fancy Tag Topper Punch for the top.  Of course, you could use any of the tag topper punches.

The pocket measures 3 3/4" x 2 1/4".  If you want it stamped, now is the time to do so.  I stamped the little flower cluster (from the kit) all over my pocket in BumbleBee ink.

Score the pocket as follows:
LONG SIDE: 1/2", 7/8", 2 7/8", 3 1/4"
SHORT SIDE: 1/2", 7/8"

Once you've scored, you'll want to cut three of the little squares out of the corner.  Reference the photo here:

As you can see, I also mitered that one little square that was left.  I like doing that to reduce any corner "bulk".

Now, you'll apply Tear & Tape or Liquid Glue to all three of the 1/2" sections.  These will connect to the tag base to form the pocket.

If we had made this all one piece, you'd have to cut long 1/2" and 3/8" strips away from each side of the piece after you scored.  We've saved paper! YAY! :-)

I used one of the kit's adorable little floral die cuts to embellish the front, and some of the Mossy Meadow Twine that came in the kit along with Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon for the cute tie on top.

This little treat holder fits a single Ghirardelli square perfectly! ENJOY!

Follow the hop around to see all the fabulous projects that have been created for you!

Wishing you the Berry Best!

Hello friends! How is your Thursday shaping up?  It's a beautiful day here in East Tennessee! I know the nice weather isn't gonna last long, before it gets cold again, but I'm taking advantage of it while I've got it! :-D

This week I'm going LIVE at 6:30pm est each night on my YouTube Channel, sharing fun and having a great time visiting with everyone that joins me.  I hope you will join us!  It's always a nice time chatting with friends!

Yesterday evening, I shared how to make this project with you.

I love the look of Pacific Point and Old Olive together.  They're just super pretty colors that look great!

So I started off with a Pacific Point Card Base (8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4").  Then I brought in the Berry Delightful Sale-A-Bration DSP.  This is a 4" x 5 1/4" piece.  I tied a length of Metallic Edge Ribbon into a bow around the DSP layer and attached it to the card front.

To get the beautiful scalloped rectangle piece, I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  This was the biggest rectangle die.  If you don't have this die set, OH MY!!! You desperately need it! It's one of my ultimate favs!

I dare say they're a craft room staple! Of course, there's a stamp set that has coordinating sentiments too.  Might as well get the bundle! ;-)

The Stamp Set I used is part of the same Berry Blessings Sale-A-Bration BUNDLE that's FREE with a qualifying purchase.  It's a fabulous stamp set! I love that the distINKtive stamps create all the shading and highlights at one time.  It makes for very easy BEAUTIFUL projects!!

You can watch the replay of yesterday's LIVE here and see how I created the card.

A Touch Of Ink Remix Fancy Fold

Monday, I created a Thank You card that used the FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set "A Touch Of Ink" and the FREE "Oh So Ombre" Designer Series Paper.  I played around a bit and created a fancy fold card using the same color way and products, so I thought I'd share it with you here.

The background is a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Night of Navy Cardstock that I ran through the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.  Easily becoming one of my absolute FAVORITE embossing folders!

The main body of the card is Granny Apple Green Cardstock cut at 4 1/4" x 11", scored on the LONG SIDE @ 1 1/2", 3", 5 1/2", and 8".

I used Night Of Navy Cardstock for the background layers on the fancy fold panel, and then used Oh So Ombre Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper for the front layers.

Cardstock:
1 1/4" x 4"
2 1/4" x 4" (CUT 2)
2 3/4" x 4"

DSP:
1 1/8" x 3 7/8"
2 1/8" x 3 7/8"
2 5/8" x 3 7/8"

You'll also cut a piece of Basic White Cardstock at 2 1/8" x 3 7/8" to stamp a flower and sentiment on.

I used the biggest Layering Ovals die and the biggest Stitched Oval Shapes die for the front piece. I stamped the floral sprig and "Hello Friend" in Memento Black Ink.  Then stamped the flowers in Rococo Rose ink.

To color the bird and butterfly, check out my video tutorial on the standard card I made on Monday.

I finished off the card with some of that fun White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon.  It's so soft and pretty! I just love it!

I hope you enjoyed this card (and the one in the video) using the "A Touch Of Ink" Sale-a-Bration stamp set!  You have just a couple days left to make a qualifying purchase to earn that stamp set for FREE!! Visit my website to order: www.danasullivan.stampinup.net
